Probably a week or so...I don't spend that much time on the computer or my game consoles as much as I used to be compared to like 3 years ago.

Had a power outage yesterday, luckily I had my laptop to survive on so I went ahead and watched Ju-On. But if it went on for days I would just be more active outside, could survive forever. Didn't need it when I was young so why would I need it now.

Except for the refrigerator, oven etc, don't know how that would work out

if all the power to the country went out I think we'd survive because we have no choice... but it'd be interesting to see how long it'd take before chaos ensued

As long as it takes. If you seriously can't live without electricity you need to sit back and think about your life.

A couple of hours. I live the UK and we get power cuts very rarely, In a developed country a major flaw I think is that most things need electricity to function, No electricity, No TV, No Phone Charger, No PC, No Microwave, etc. When we do get power cuts I just find a Torch and read a book, but I will not be able to do that for more than 6 hours. People here probably can last longer but I can't live without Technology ;) (Well I can, Its just an expression).

You serious? What country are you from and how often do you use something electrical? Please tell me how you would live your life with no electricity and how long will you last? Even HOSPITALS DEPEND ON ELECTRICITY.

I'm from the U.S. But you gotta realize all this **** is not necessary. Humans have lived without it before, we can live without it again. Your the prime example of dependecy.

Yes, I know I'm dependent, But I really have no choice, I live in the UK. I have no other option to live without electricity, if its their, Il take it :) But I've also had experiences in India, where I have lived without electricity for short periods of time. And just because we can, does not mean that we should.

Gimme people that are not my family, and stuff to do, and I'll be fine for a month, at month number 3 i'll adapt. The inbetween period i'll probably go nuts. vito_128

Anyone who says that can live without electricity should think about it twice.

Imagine a surgery without electricity, a diagnosis...

Think how many lives electricity has saved.
