  1. Godzilla: King of the Monsters: $49.0 Million (new release)
  2. Aladdin: $42.3 Million
  3. Rocketman: $25.0 Million (new release)
  4. Ma: $18.2 Million (new release)
  5. John Wick 3: $11.1 Million
  6. Avengers: Endgame: $7.8 Million
  7. Pokemon Detective Pikachu: $6.6 Million
  8. Booksmart: $3.3 Million
  9. Brightburn: $2.3 Million
  10. The Hustle: $1.3 Million

Despite the numbers look underwhelming, it'll make up in China, Japan & overseas in general will bring in the big bucks. And not to worry, next year, it's Godzilla vs King Kong movie and it's already in production. Rather it doesn't make it's diminishing-returns, the next film will be release. Saw Godzilla King of the Monsters and it was freaking awesome!

Rocketman & Ma did well and I'll go see Ma at some point. Next up, it's Dark Phoenix don't know what the buzz is, let's see if Godzilla has legs assuming Dark Phoenix flops of course.

May 31-June 2 mojo's box office weekend

That list has 3 movies I really want to see. Godzilla, Pokemon Detective Pikachu and John Wick Chapter 3...

Yet it looks like I won't see any of them in cinema :x

Heading to the theaters for a double-feature of Detective Pikachu and John Wick 3 today. Would see Godzilla but holding off until next week--don't have the patience to go to opening weekends anymore. Crowds are a bit much for me.

Godzilla made $179 million worldwide, including $49M in the US, $70M in China, and $60M in other territories. Looks like Godzilla will have to rely on China, which is an unpredictable market.

It's better then nothing. China will have to make up for the cost but my issue with the movie itself was the lack of Godzilla screen time but at least this was a nice improvement over Godzilla 2014. I would assume Godzilla vs King Kong next year to fair better.

Well, Godzilla 2014 did kill a lot of the hype for KotM.

Don't think I can last for one and you're double dipping?

@PSP107: Well, to be honest, after Pikachu, i went to go get lunch at a nicw restaurant. We gott so full, we decided head home early, so it was just the one movie. We are going back this weekend, though.
