I'm curious to know why so much of the world is yet to ban bestialityThe_Gaming_BabyTwo possibilities. Either they're particularly tolerant of it, or they don't think it's something that people actually do. After all, not much point in banning something that no one does anyway.
Because people still don't know that it's morally taboo to **** your farm goat. Guess im not going to Germany for my college trip
You srs?Thats an attack on freedom, and my right to love who i want.
Keep the goverenment out people's bedrooms (and barn yards).

you know, if the fact that you are having sex with an animal isn't enough to stop you from doing it I'm guessing a law won't make you think twice.
Also, who is going to rat you out? The cow?
I'd imagine that Germany (Like most places) previously simply had it under the umbrella of Animal Cruelty, as opposed to banning it specifically.TylendalI've seen enough videos involving women and horses to say the horse enjoyed what was going on; that's no form of cruelty/abuse.
I think it's important to ask whether bestiality is being banned to protect animals, or to prevent humans from doing things that are considered socially taboo.Laihendi
Do you think animals can consent? Well, there is the whole issue of this being nearly impossible to regulate. That's like making oral sex illegal, it's just on paper, everybody will still be doing it because police aren't going around checking if people are doing their goats..[QUOTE="hoola"]
I really see no purpose for bestiality to be made illegal.

Well I'm not sure how much harm people are doing to animals but it's gross so whatever.

Sometimes the harm is done the other way around.
Well it's a gray area because an animal can't consent to intercourse.Because animals are property making it a bit of a gray area.

Well it's a gray area because an animal can't consent to intercourse. The only people with a claim to rights are those who are capable of conceiving the concept of rights. Anyways, how do we even know when an animal consents to intercourse? How do we know if a dog consents to another dog? Should we start arresting animals for rape too? Why should animals be "protected" by the law if they aren't even accountable to the law?[QUOTE="Pirate700"]

There's just a bit of a difference between self restraint carried out by a dog when compared to a human.[QUOTE="Pirate700"]

Animals are definitely held accountable by the law. Are you trolling? You must have noticed pit bulls and other breeds being put down when they attack someone.
