GameSpot family member and Giant Bomb editor Ryan Davis passes, 1979 - 2013

He was an awesome contributor in (my opinion) Gamespots hay days. A very funny man, just like the other great editors of that time: Jeff Gerstmann, Alex Navarro, carrie Gouskos, Brad Shoemaker, Rich Gallup and Greg kasavin. He will be missed.

I vaguely remember his name, but still 34 is way too young to die. I was looking at his Twitter, and he posted this the same day, which is kind of eerie:

In response to someone else about how much sleep they'd gotten...

You know, I'm going to say he died due to subarachnoidal bleeding (a type of brain bleeding) after sex (his honeymoon)...it happens a lot.

But could be his heart, he was sweating a lot doing the simplest Kinect demos...but 34 is too young for serious heart conditions...too young...
It must have been something sudden...

According to his chef, Michael Jackson came home from rehearsals and said 'this is killing me' and went to bed, the night he died.

Just a weird coincidence I guess.

Ok, but that wasn't the point of what I said. I'm just saying it's common for people to accidently predict their own deaths before they actually die.

Wow, that **** sucks.

This was totally unexpected news. He was a great staff member back in Gamespot's hay day. He, Jeff, Alex, Brad, and Rich made a great team on On the Spot. Way too young to go, and what a time to go shortly after getting married. RIP Ryan, you'll be missed and my condolences to the family.
