Neon Genesis Evangelion, Welcome to the NHK, Serial Experiments Lain, Death Note, Last Exile and Miyazaki's movies too of course.
I fail to see what's good about Code Geass. It's basically a futuristic Death Note rip off.jointed
I know how you mean, I like Code Geass. But it isn't that great. I've been trying to get into it more than now since Death Note is coming to an end and Bleach will most likely go on a hiatus sooner than I think.

Ehm, yes really.
- Main character trying to create justice.
- Fools everyone around him with a different alter ego.
- The main character is uber intelligent and is engaged in a mind game with his "enemies"
- The main character's power is indirect and basically the same as Light's...the only difference is that Geass doesn't need to result in death.
- In the middle of the series the main character makes himself forget everything, and then get one of his female minions to make him remember again. All this to fool his enemies.

Meh, second season kind of sucks, but to be quite honest, every second season of any show sucks. Even Death Note went downhill after the first half. Seems to me every second season of something is always worse than the first. Code Geass had a great first season. Not really. Never really realized those similarities before, but you're right. Even though CG is a bit of a rip-off, I found it quite good. It wasn't as good as Death Note, but I found it pretty close.
Not really. I totally agree with you there. The first season I was watching multiple episodes each day, and the second season I'm hardly even caring about. It pissed me off after like 4 other people had a Geass when the second season started. I'm hoping the second season picks up soon, or I'll probably drop it soon. It's a snorefest lately and lacks everything I liked about the first season. The last few episodes were horrible.

I fail to see what's good about Code Geass. I think that is where it should have ended.

Yeah, that's where I thought they should have started thinking about finding a way to end the show. After
L died and they introduced Near it just went downhill. Not to mention Near was a horrible character in my opinion. L was a million times more of a better character.
Liking the Neon Genesis Evanglion love in this thread.clyde46Well Evangelion is great... until we look at the damn giant robot wars.
For me it was more a lesson of life than an entertaiment. Asuka is a damn mirror of myself, so I was shocked when I saw myself on screen. To bad they turned crazy kids into some sexual manga toys and hookers with the promotional stuff.
Nothing is better than watching an Evangelion pr0n and scrapping everty deep thoughts the series brought. When I saw this, I was broken. I hate japaneses for that kind of kinky crap.
I'll just name a couple that I thought were really good, cause I don't really have favorites, and I'll be mentioning ones that no one has said: (so basically all the underated runs
Ef- A tale of memories (or something like that)
Denno Coil
Kanon
Minami-Ke first season
Seto no Hanayome
and many ones that have already been said.
