Not really. Besides the main character trying to create justice and the Geass/Death Note, there were no similarities.Ehm, yes really.
- Main character trying to create justice.
- Fools everyone around him with a different alter ego.
- The main character is uber intelligent and is engaged in a mind game with his "enemies"
- The main character's power is indirect and basically the same as Light's...the only difference is that Geass doesn't need to result in death.
- In the middle of the series the main character makes himself forget everything, and then get one of his female minions to make him remember again. All this to fool his enemies.
Never really realized those similarities before, but you're right. Even though CG is a bit of a rip-off, I found it quite good. It wasn't as good as Death Note, but I found it pretty close. I have to admit, my post was an exaggeration, the first CG season was great. But the sudden halt, and crappy 2nd season pissed me off.
I totally agree with you there. The first season I was watching multiple episodes each day, and the second season I'm hardly even caring about. It pissed me off after like 4 other people had a Geass when the second season started. I'm hoping the second season picks up soon, or I'll probably drop it soon. It's a snorefest lately and lacks everything I liked about the first season. The last few episodes were horrible.
