Favorite type music?

I like classical music.

Some of my favorites include the Moonlight sonata, Vivaldi "the four seasons", and Mozart "a little night music".

I love hip hop and jazz the most.

Mostly Blue Note stuff.

For Hip Hop I like the stuff Stones Throw has.

Not sure what to call Death Grips really.

Metal. Particularly folk, death, and thrash metal.

here are some

MF Doom,MED,Jigmastas,WildChild,Doc Moreu, Lootpack, Quasimoto, Shahmen, JayDilla, Madlib

The last two I mostly like for their production and not their MC skills (though Madlib is pretty good sometimes)

I enjoy a lot.

But in terms of genres, i guess i steer towards classick rock, progressive rock, metal etc etc

I'm not entirely sure what to call it but it's often under the classification of folk rock and alternative.

As examples, I love Johnny Flynn, Mumford and Sons, The Avett Brothers, The Civil Wars, Band of Horses, and Iron and Wine.

Classic Rock for the most part.

I love classical as well. But most of what's on iPod is different genres of rock and some metal.

Indie rock,80's and electro house.

Grunge

Metal - thrash, death, black and doom.

Classic rock, and classic rock is anything before 1980. If I hear one more person list Nirvana as classic rock, I'm gonna flip my lid.

If I had to pick just one band though it would be Pink Floyd. Led Zeppelin is a close second, but I saw Floyd live on Pulse and it was freaking awesome so I'm a bit biased.

Aye. And I'm one of the very few who doesn't give a flying fart about Waters. Gilmour, Manson and the late Wright were the magic of Floyd.

I don't see how someone not liking a certain genre means they have a terrible understanding of music...

My favorite changes depending on my mood and what I'm doing. I have never heard a music 'type' that I didn't enjoy at some point.
