How do you go from American History X, to Fight Club, to....The Incredible Hulk? It's like going backwards, it's insulting to such a great actor. was it money?

i actually thought that for what it was the incredible hulk was pretty good. it was way better than the one they did 4 or 5 years ago (the "first" incredible hulk)

Can't really call the Hulk moving backwards regardless of how crappy the movie may be. It's a huge name movie and is also a huge money maker. Once he's in a little kids movie with a talking dog his career will be ruined. :P

Apparently Norton is a pain in the ass to work with. Read up on American History X and how difficult he was and as a result Tony Kaye, the director, has never really done anything since. Of course that is just rumour and speculation, but I wouldn't doubt that there is some personality conflict which Norton possesses that caused Hollywood to not want him.

What's wrong with The Incredible Hulk? The critics liked it and it wasn't a commercial flop.

I heard that Hugh Jackman ruined his musical career when he signed on to play Wolverine, also. And let's not forget how those same movies effectively ended the careers of Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellan, Anna Paquin and Halle Berry, among others :(

How did he ruin his career? On top of being a good movie, The Incredible Hulk was well received by critics and wasn't anywhere near a box office flop.

The movie was awful and Norton was pretty bad in it as well. It definitely isn't a career-ender though.

Norton's a Hulk fan. He wanted the part in Ang Lee's version, but was rejected.

I heard that Hugh Jackman ruined his musical career when he signed on to play Wolverine, also. And let's not forget how those same movies effectively ended the careers of Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellan, Anna Paquin and Halle Berry, among others :(xaos

Hugh Jackman played Wolverine and then hosted the Oscars and it was full of singing and I believe it owon an Emmy. Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan are too old to "ruin" their careers, their options are limited because of that, not because of the immensely popular X-Men and LOTR trilogies. Anna Paquin didn't really have much of a career before X-Men and she is currently in True Blood and Halle Berry ruined her with Catwoman.

Ed Norton is sexy no matter what he does. All his best roles involve taking his shirt off at one point or another. Besides, I like The Incredible Hulk. :(

His career is far from over. The Incredible Hulk may not have been the greatest movie ever, but that doesnt mean all of a sudden Norton cant act anymore.

Aparently he's said to be a little douchey on the set. The said he got very snide over The Hulk also, he put himself up to it, and he's a Incredible Hulk fan, and he said he didn't like/wanted to correct the 2003 movie.

What's that going to be about, It'll pick up from when his little bro got shot in the bathroom by the other guy, so he figures he was wrong about accepting blacks, and he goes back to being a Nazi? So it's "American History x2theXtreme"

I thought the Incredible Hulk was a good movie. And considering American History X was in 1993, and Fight Club in 1999, it's not like he went straight from those movies to a bunch of cash in popcorn flicks.......

Can't really call the Hulk moving backwards regardless of how crappy the movie may be. It's a huge name movie and is also a huge money maker. Once he's in a little kids movie with a talking dog his career will be ruined. :P

That's been disproven. Bruce Willis was in Look Who's Talking Too and his career hasn't quite gone down the crapper.

Bruce Willis was the voice of the baby, John Travolta and Kirsty Alley both showed their faces.....and....well......you know the rest.

His career is nowhere near ruined, and it never will be. The Incredible Hulk wasn't a bad movie, it was actually quite decent for a Hulk film.

I didn't like the movie.

And it was still better than the other one. With that said, there are worse movies to star in, a lot worse.
