Apparently Norton is a pain in the ass to work with. Read up on American History X and how difficult he was and as a result Tony Kaye, the director, has never really done anything since. Of course that is just rumour and speculation, but I wouldn't doubt that there is some personality conflict which Norton possesses that caused Hollywood to not want him.
But The Incredible Hulk wasn't a career ending movie anyway. It's a popcorn movie....LJS9502_basicThis. He'll be fine..
How did he ruin his career? On top of being a good movie, The Incredible Hulk was well received by critics and wasn't anywhere near a box office flop.
I heard that Hugh Jackman ruined his musical career when he signed on to play Wolverine, also. And let's not forget how those same movies effectively ended the careers of Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellan, Anna Paquin and Halle Berry, among others :(xaos
Hugh Jackman played Wolverine and then hosted the Oscars and it was full of singing and I believe it owon an Emmy. Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan are too old to "ruin" their careers, their options are limited because of that, not because of the immensely popular X-Men and LOTR trilogies. Anna Paquin didn't really have much of a career before X-Men and she is currently in True Blood and Halle Berry ruined her with Catwoman.
Aparently he's said to be a little douchey on the set. The said he got very snide over The Hulk also, he put himself up to it, and he's a Incredible Hulk fan, and he said he didn't like/wanted to correct the 2003 movie.Apparently Norton is a pain in the ass to work with. What's that going to be about, It'll pick up from when his little bro got shot in the bathroom by the other guy, so he figures he was wrong about accepting blacks, and he goes back to being a Nazi? So it's "American History x2theXtreme"He's still sexy so...his career is fine.
*cough* American History X 2 *cough*

Careers go up and down. But The Incredible Hulk wasn't a career ending movie anyway. It's a popcorn movie....LJS9502_basicThis. He's talented enough that he'll be fine. The Incredible Hulk wasn't even that bad. I enjoyed it.
If you want to talk about careers going down, what about Cuba Gooding Junior? I wonder who he pissed off.
That's been disproven. Bruce Willis was in Look Who's Talking Too and his career hasn't quite gone down the crapper. Can't really call the Hulk moving backwards regardless of how crappy the movie may be. It's a huge name movie and is also a huge money maker. Once he's in a little kids movie with a talking dog his career will be ruined. :P

Got_to_go
Bruce Willis was the voice of the baby, John Travolta and Kirsty Alley both showed their faces.....and....well......you know the rest.
Oh, and am I the only one who liked Primal Fear a lot? Jazz_FanNope, it's his second best performance.
His career is nowhere near ruined, and it never will be. The Incredible Hulk wasn't a bad movie, it was actually quite decent for a Hulk film.
