I know where this thread is going. People are going to say DB is absolutely terrible in comparison with Cowboy Bebop. I predict a landslide victory from CB.

A really odd comparison, well I will go with cowboy bebop because I prefer the setting and Spike is a much more interesting character. Dragon Ball is still awesome though

It's not that. Many people had access to Cartoon Netrwork and they were showing DB all the time. I honestly can't name any other anime on CN anymore though I remember there was some space BS with large robots or something.
Essentially Dragon Ball was THE anime for many by default.

I love Dragon Ball too (in a nostalgic/classic sorta way), but have you seen Cowboy Bebop? I feel the same Ive been trying to think of why I like dbz because its not that great its all because of nostalgia cb is way better. both are overrated but one of them actually deserves some of it

Now that show was badass. Giant robots beating the **** of each other gets a thumbs up from me. :D It's such a simple concept really, I can't find out why Transformers screwed it up.

I recognize Dragonball's "flaws", but I still prefer it. Just so you know this is coming from someone who has seen Neon Genesis Evangalion, Blue Gender, Outlaw Star, When They Cry, the Melancholy of Harui, Elfen Lied, Death Note, Code Geass, and hundreds of others. I've been around the anime block more than enough times, but when it comes down to it, I'm still going to choose Dragonball in the end. Watching Dragonball Kai every week only strengthens my opinion, so it's more than just nostalgia if you're thinking that.
