The Young Turks are going to be all over this. I can't wait. Anynow, I'm pretty sure that extreme right wingers will donate to him.
I'd rather convert all my money into coins. Put the coins into a sack, and then get someone to beat me to death with my own money.
lol this is dumb. The dude will be acquitted then make a book about his experience and become rich anyway.

People have the right to donate money to in whichever way they choose. Zimmerman is the real victim in this case anyway. Don't like it? Tough.

Yes, people have the right to donate money to Zimmerman, that doesn't make it any less of a stupid decision.

Well then...good thing your opinion doesn't matter. Legal defense funds are set up all the time for victims of a wide variety of atrocities. Zimmerman will be hunted down by black liberation theologians and profiteers alike. A couple extra bucks is more than warranted.

Zimmerman is still under investigation. I don't really understand why people would want to donate or feel sympathetic towards someone who is potentially a murderer.
But whatever, it's not my money that is getting wasted.

Visited the site Zimmerman made. The following text is presented with an American flag in the background:
I am the real George Zimmerman,
On Sunday February 26th, I was involved in a life altering event which led me to become the subject of intense media coverage. As a result of the incident and subsequent media coverage, I have been forced to leave my home, my school, my employer, my family and ultimately, my entire life. This website's sole purpose is to ensure my supporters they are receiving my full attention without any intermediaries.
It has come to my attention that some persons and/or entities have been collecting funds, thinly veiled as my "Defense Fund" or "Legal Fund". I cannot attest to the validity of these other websites as I have not received any funds collected, intended to support my family and I through this trying, tragictime.
I have created a Paypal account solely linked on this website as I would like to provide an avenue to thank my supporters personally and ensure that any funds provided are used only for living expenses and legal defense, in lieu of my forced inability to maintain employment. I will also personally, maintain accountability of all funds received. I reassure you, every donation is appreciated.
Sincerely,
George Zimmerman
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil, is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke.

The media fallout is enough of a reason to have sympathy for the man. Zimmerman is now forced into hiding. Regardless of his guilt or innocence, the man can never return to a life of normalcy.

You don't say.
Uh...I explicitly did say. Can't read?
Text in the My Race section of Zimmerman's site:
"The world is my country, all mankind are my brethren, and to do good is my religion." - Thomas Paine
I don't really know what to make of it without having a news source that isn't biased as crap. If he is innocent it does suck. I mean this mans life has been ruined unjustly if it was self defense because a large group of people, media included, have pretty much have burned his public image at the stake. And then If it was not in self defense you have just pitied, and in some peoples cases funded ( ) a murderer. It's best to just hold your opinion until the court date because unless you were an eyewitness or a police officer on the case you have very little to actually go on. I feel bad for everyone involved until the justice system weighs the evidence.

And IF Zimmerman is guilty, then I can't say I'd feel sorry for him not having the ability to live his life normally, since he would be a murderer in such a case.
I'll say that if, hypothetically, Zimmerman was proven to be innocent beyond reasonable doubt, and THEN he put up this website, then I might feel abit more sympathetic, but doing it right in the middle of his investigation just comes across as foolish.

Yup, I did read. And your post was the kind of pointing-out-the-obvious stupidity that should be punishable by law.

Because Zimmerman's the hero Florida deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight.[QUOTE="moneymatterz"][QUOTE="DJ-Lafleur"]
