It's really bad for them. But what do you do when they start to smell? Mine don't smell, but they're pretty worn from the washes. The last wash put some holes in my knees. But hey, at least they're the naturally occurring holes instead of the stupid factory ripped ones. I only washed them that time because a dug cuddled up against me. I don't care for pets.

I'm receiving a new pair on Monday, which I might never wash.

I wash them all the time. Warm water, mild detergent and tumble dry.

I can wear the same pair for about a week. I wash them with all my other clothes, which I wash weekly. I have a few pair of jeans and I rotate them them every week and have had them for years.

Tracksuit bottoms, jeans are uncomfy as hell.

Especially when you're fat.

I'm not a fan of jeans.

Isn't the no wash thing only applicable to raw denim? Surely your regular, everyday jeans are designed with washing in mind.

I've heard of people putting them in the freezer to kill bacteria but I'm not convinced. No matter how careful you are not spilling stuff on them body oils and stuff are going to get on them and make them gross.

Drying on high is what does the real damage. Use low or ideally hang dry.

Huh? We always just washed our jeans and never had issues with it. I didn't know you weren't supposed to wash jeans.

There are denim "enthusiasts" out there that will buy raw denim and hold off on washing it for long periods of time. Raw denim is quite nice though I will admit.

Hell yeah I wash my jeans. Sometimes my job requires a little physicality. I get a little sweaty. I couldn't imagine wearing the same jeans and stewing in yesterdays ass and ball sweat. Now yesterday I was able to get through the day without any real work so today I am wearing the same jeans. I will not go a 3rd day though. 2 is my limit and only if the 1st day was lazy.

I don't wash them after every wear but I absolutely wash them. Maybe after 3-4 days to a week depending on if I get them dirty. Washing machines are hard on most types of clothes, sure, but that's the price of wearing clothes. If they wear out, you have to buy new ones.

I wash my clothes every week. Sometimes I might wear a pair of jeans for an extra day or two, depending on if I did a lot in them or not. But usually I'll change to a new pair the next day. Maybe I'll make it a habit of getting a couple of days out of them before a wash from now on.

That is disgusting.

I'm imagining all my ass, taint, and ball sweat slowly but surely leaking through my underwear, eventually getting into the the jeans.

This is, of course , in addition to all the regular stuff that get's dropped, splattered, thrown, or otherwise deposited on my clothes from time to time.

*you know I'm starting to think that all the smelly people I've encountered in public, they all seem to wear jeans. That would certainly explain it. Maybe that's why homeless people seem to always wear jeans *shrug*

I almost solely wear jeans. I have about 12 pairs and wash my jeans after being worn constantly for about two weeks. If I sit on dirty benches or in a dirty economy seat in an airplane then those pairs go straight to the washer! Likewise if I spill something but just plain water on them.

My jeans do get worn out, I probably repair two pairs of jeans every year. And sometimes I have to replace a pair.

If I'm not wearing jeans I feel naked 😄

Yes why not, I wash my jeans weekly but never washed my lovely leather jacket. Because it can damage. I only clean it with the wet cloth.
