Do you think WW3 will happen if US takes over Canada?

I'm pretty sure it would. Taking over a giant peaceful and neutral country means theres going to be a big threat.

There would probably be a huge PR dip for the US, with Russia likely being the guys who make the biggest deal out of it; but I'm not sure Canada's popular enough with the International Community to warrant a nuclear end of the world.

Why would we bother taking over Canada?

Even if the US took over Canada nothing would happen. Canada would welcome the Americans, show them a good time and America would agree to leave Canada alone because they're cool like that.

But if Canada took over America, that would be interesting.

The Commonwealth of Nations would be forced to declare war on the U.S.A by international pre agreed treatys if such an event occured. I'm also quite sure the EU would probably declare war depending on how said war affects Britian plus Russia and Chinas stance (India is already part of the Commonwealth am I right in thinking?)

People like/care about Canada more than they do America. There's a reason why some Americans put Canadian flag patches onto their backpacks, etc when they head off to foreign countries.

Well I don't think that anyone would care if the US invaded Canada, Canada is like the US with more pointless laws, less people, and more hockey. They might be like "US get out of Canada" or else kind of like they did with Russia and Georgia except that the US won't listen like Russia did. There would be no way that anyone would fight the US to defend Canada. Besides there is nothing in Canada except trees, and oil, but the enviromentalists wouldn't let anyone use those anyway.
