I do because most of my movie collection is on VHS. I just never bothered to repurchase them all again on DVD.
Yes, we have a few in our house. We use them to record programmes off of the TV. Bourbons3 A DVR says hello.

Indeed i do, i believe i have about 4 of them, one for every room, though they are not connected, every so often i connect them if i'm in the mood for some Toy Story or home videos from when i was a child. :)
