I hold doors for most people if they are in a fairly short walking distance. Why would you not? It only takes 2-3 seconds of your time (3 is pushing it, at that point you are putting pressure on the other person to start rushing so you don't stand there for a long time).Articuno76
This is the system I follow as well.
I hold doors open for anybody that's nearby.Zaeryn
yeah i do too but its just... weird when you do it for a guy, you know? :P
I hold doors regardless of gender.
I don't hold doors for those damn Canadian though:evil:
I kid I kid. As a Michigander I have a quota to pick on our northern neighbors at least once a month;)

Be more homophobic.
wow... how the heck is that homophobic at all?
[QUOTE="Ravirr"]Yes
But i've met some girls who frown upon chivalry. I like chivalry :(

Oh man some girls get pissed if you hold the door open for them. They feel as if you're demeaning them or something.
its the oppostie of demeaning them tho...
No, as I've little reason to. Girls don't see it as much, and if they did, what purpose would that serve? To get a date? That'd backfire, as I can't get a date. At all.Video_Game_Kingit's just a common courtesy. You're not supposed to expect anything in return

Yea, but usually politeness will screw you over. Being good will bring horrible things upon you. Yes, I'm directing the thread into a dark, dark direction. I realize it.
Yes I do.
But its ironic...older women are always gracious and sort of speed up a little and give you a smile.
Young women either ignore you, or even glare at you. Very few women under 30 give you a smile or a thank you.

i think you're overreactingNo, that's usually what happens when you do good: you get screwed over. Its reverse karma. Why do you think a lot of the people who've done good for mankind were assassinated soon afterward?
