only for long distance, i only wear glasses when looking at the board or something far away. other than that i dont wear glasses. i am gonna get contacts soon..
My eye doctor said I was developing a little bit of astigmatism... He just wanted money. I bought these cute glasses for $400 (I had no clue they cost so much!)... I never wear my glasses though because I do not need them.
Technically yes but my eyes are really good, My right eye is 20/16 and my left eye is 20/20 so I never wear them because I can see perfectly although I do get a wierd twitch sometimes.
I wear them to read and work on the PC (not play games). I can see without them but words and small images look a little blurry and tire my eyes out (astigmatism).
yeah. sometimes i wonder if gaming did this, but i doubt it. my eyes sucked before i started playing... maybe it was reading. i love it but now i only buy the books that dont have that tiny, tiny manuscript, only medium or larger
I've worn glasses since the second grade, although I did switch to contacts for a few years. I'll be going back to contacts when I have my next checkup, mostly because glasses make everything smaller, which isn't so great for gaming when you need to notice detail.
I've been gaming since I was 3, back on the old Genesis and Sega Channel (dad works for the cable company, so we got it for free). I don't attribute my poor vision to gaming though, since it's a dominant trait that I got from both parents.
i'm basically blind without my glasses. w/o them, i cant seem more then 3 inches (yes, only 3 inches) in front of me. everything beyond that, all i can see is color and movement
I've got perfect vision. It's a common myth that watching TV's hurt your eyes, but it's completely baseless. There was even a survey that concluded that TV-watchers had better vision. I have no links, so you'll have to take my word on the survey part...
TV being bad for your eyes is a typical thing a mother would say, like when they say being cold gives you the flu. We get the flu in the winter because we're not outside as much (there's way more germs inside than outside).
Also, dolphins are stupid (they can just communicate in a way that impress us), bigger brain does not mean higher IQ (elephants have gigantic brains) and we do not use 10% of our brains (it's not a constant number).
Yeah, I have glasses. I've had them since kindergarten, so the fact that I have them has nothing to do with gaming or anything. I just have really fricking terrible eyesight.
I don't think that gaming or computers have made my eyes get any worse since getting glasses. My eyes have gotten worse, yes, but eyes change a lot...especially when you're a kid or adolescent.
I don't honestly think that games, computers, or TV affect your eyesight much or at all, really. I think that's kind of a myth.
