I do.

I find science much more interesting.

I don't know, Numbers just seem so...bland to me.

I guess that's because I'm a writer at heart. When I compare the vast, great and colorful worlds that words portray to me as an endearing and delightful mental adventure to the Pythagorean theorem....Well, I just can't see the beauty in the latter.

I find it enlightening. It's only boring if you don't understand it or have a poor teacher.

Like you, I prefer science (even though I recognize math will always be a part of it). I have an easier time with it as well, which may partially explain the lack of interest.

No because it actual means something unlike poetry. I feel like Calculus should be mandatory in order to graduate, while only grade 10 english and history/social studies should be required. Math and science will actually help you in life.

I really liked math in highschool, but I've forgotten many of the concepts since then. I cleped out of Calc 1&2, so I've only been using very basic math for General Chem at the moment.

How is it full of lies? I meant an easier time with science courses as opposed to math. The highest math I've taken is Cal II, which I didn't find easy.

I really don't like Trigonometry. Precal isn't too bad, though, since it's just building on all the Algebra I learned already. Also, putting it into practice is all I was actually talking about. Otherwise, it's kind of boring.

Boring but not hard to learn. Just requires a lot of your attention which I lack in.

I find science a lot funner though.

Erm, pre-calc, I would argue, is among the most useful math classes I've taken to date in terms of practical applications.

With other subjects it's an up-and-down rollercoaster of love and hate, but for Math, I will always and forever love. It's the subject I turn to when I'm getting burnt out because of school and I need a walk-it-off break :P

It's greatly under appreciated. As an electrical engineer and hobby programmer, I use it everyday without fail. Even calculus. As for pure math, I actually do find it boring. I need to apply it in a practical manner before anything really interests me.

I hate pointless math (i.e. school math classes) Math with practical applications is very interesting however. Physics is a perfect example. Physics is awesome.

Math becomes boring I find for most students because teachers never really apply the math you learn into actual context. 9/10 times I had a math teacher that just assigned problems out of the textbook and they had no context behind them. Then you go on to take Physics, Chemistry, or computer math and it actually serves a purpose and has a reasoning behind it. Only then can I find it interesting

I love mathematics. In fact, I'm a mathematician. I finished my Master of Science degree in Mathematics back in December.

Algebra, trigonometry, etc. might feel boring, but when you're a math major, you learn about branches of math that you never even knew existed.

My favorite branch of math is topology (the mathematical study of shape and form). I'm taking a break from it right now to study some abstract algebra (the branch of math that deals with the theory of algebra).

I love math, well certain fields of it at least. I'm an analyst, not an algebraist. I find abstract algebra immensely boring but I really enjoy analysis. Topology I'm fairly indifferent to.

Boring math is boring, 'cause it's ezpz, fun math is tedious, but fun.

And science needs math, you can't really make a valid, useful, observation w/o it!

eg. Earth goes around the Sun. Which would be a little more useful, if you could add in how many days it took, but that'd require math.

No, not really.

A lot of everyday problems become ridiculously easy if you know a bit of math.

Although I have to say as an engineering physics student I do find the teaching methods to be too stringent.

Yeah....the whole alphabet thing with numbers doesn't really do it for me. Thinking it seems is a luxury few of us can afford to do anymore.
