Yes. Because guys and girls who have reached sexual maturity have a natural urge to have sex, and what better way to tell them to use rubbers than to give them out in school? I just want to know why anyone would be against it.

Condoms weren't given out in my school, I went to a catholic one. But the connexions office and most doctors surgeries handed them out. Still didn't stop a quarter of the girls in my year having babies by 16.

Yes, to have a place to comfortable get free condoms is much better than having kids wimp out in buying them because they are too embarrassed

I think vasectomy at birth would be a much more effective plan of action.

How? They take responsibility that the kids are practising safe sex, and not contaminating eachother with STDs or getting lasses knocked up...

Yeah. If they want to have sex then they're going to have sex. Might as well make it as easy as possible for them do it safely.

A vasectomy at birth would cause the male child to not develop correctly, the sperm tubes would be unable to be connected again as they never grew right, resulting in a child that never became a man..at all. Lack of testosterone in either gender halts development. Congratulations, you just killed the human race...again.

Yes they should. Multiple benefits: 1) Sex is no big deal. It's about time people accepted it. 2) Teenagers are going to do it anyway. May as well stop acting like they don't and accept it. 3) Population control 4) Disease control Literally no downsides.

"Vasectomy at birth" "In order to have kids you must pass a few IQ tests" How are newborns supposed to complete an IQ test?

Yes, I would. I'd tell my kids to use condoms unless they were certain that they would be with the person in a serious relationship. If my kids got unwanted pregnancies I would scold them, out of love.

So you would let your daughter get knocked up because she was in a 'serious' relationship? How does that make sense?

Yep, to seniors perhaps. Kids are gonna have sex regardless (always have) and it's better that they use a condom than don't. Many people are too embaressed to buy them, so they'll go without.

Better safe than sorry.

No, I'm saying I'd beat my daughter if she had unprotected sex... Well, not beat her up, but I'd take her to the doctors to get an abortion, and tell her never to have unprotected sex again, because she's a stupid teenager who doesn't know what it means to take responsibility.

It doesn't matter, it's something that it needs to be taught as very important. Being easy or not is irrelevant.

It is being taught though. At least where I come from, sex ed is taught in the seventh year of school, where most kids have reached puberty. And we, my class when I was in school, even got to go to a Sex education house in my city, where we got free condoms and were taught how to apply them properly.

Perhaps, that is if the program is projected to fund itself in the long run via the reduction of the number of people on welfare.

condoms should not be given out, but they should be made available. I dont mean condom machines in the bathroom, either; I think if you go to the nurse and ask for a condom, you should be given one no questions ask (along with some safe sex literature or something).

Kids reach puberty as early as age 12, though I think it should wait until high school before people start accepting (if not tolerating) the fact that young adults are having sex.

Preaching abstinence is not only wasteful but impossible to encourage 100%, but tossing out condoms and saying "Have fun, kids!" is equally as hurtful. Find the middle ground.

Um, nono. You would need to pay more tax, obviously. It's new to the curriculum, new things for teachers to be accredited in and paid to teach, therefore it's a new tax or at least an increase of an existing tax.

I don't see where you get the idea that this can be 'taught for nothing' from.

People who want to give out condoms at school clearly mean well, but don't quite realise how counter-productive that is. If kids want to have sex they can buy their own condoms or deal with the consequences. Remember what consequences were? The results of doing something. Kids don't seem to have those anymore.
