Conspiracy time 2: What is in Area 51?

(Based on Calvin079's post) Area 51 was a military base located in the southern portion of Nevada. It was said to be closed sometime in the 1970's but can easily be a rumor. For years, people have been saying things like UFO's being spotted and hidden there and SDI projects being tested. Othere rumors include types of e.t.s being kept for research, and etc. What do you think is in Area 51?

I imagine it's something altogether mundane compared to what people believe. Probably an R&D as well as test centre for fuel or aircraft or something... given the size of it I would say it was used for developing and testing new vehicles, like stealth bombers and what not.

Well, I'm in here. S'okay in here, could do with a colder fridge. But other than that, it's pretty cushy... God how I miss humans.

What ever is in there its bad enough to be shot and killed over by base security, so it must be significant.

They tested both the U-2 and the SR-71 there, before they became part of the operational air fleet.

Imagine being a civilian, seeing a U-2 or a SR-71 scream by. You might think it was a UFO, as nothing else like it had been built up to that time.

um... well i live in nevada.

i've never seen a UFO.

it's just a military base, hence the whole "shooting people trying to sneak in."
