Chinese Hit & Run Girl Dies

The girl who was hit by a van in china and ignored by passers by when she lay on the road has died... :(

I wonder if she would have survived if so many people hadn't walked past without doing anything.

Bystander effect strikes again. I never really understood it. I mean, I guess I could reason with it if there was a guy with a gun beating the **** out of another guy. Maybe then I wouldn't do anything besides call the police, but still... what the hell is wrong with these people? I wish I was there. I would have done something to help her. Certainly shows an extreme example of Chinese law morality over there, Hopefully some restructuring will be the best option. Or at least change their perceptions of helping someone in need.shadowkiller11

.. This is nothing new and happens all over the place.. Including the United States.. A famous rape case for instance had a girl gang raped while dozens of bystanders watched and did nothing.. Another famous case was in NYC where a guy literally bled to death on the side walk with people passing by him and not helping..
