Boston Marathon hit by explosions

News is saying the explosion happened part way up the building.  Could it have been accidental, maybe a propane explosion.

If you're going for as many casualties as possible then you'd do it three hours later. When the winner crosses the finish line, it's only the winner and a couple other runners nearby. A few hours later is when the "average" people in big groups finish.

Assuming this wasn't an accident (which it doesn't appear to be), why would anyone do this? Who would want to hurt a bunch of fitness nuts doing what they love? F*** I'm getting sick of all the terrible s*** around the world. Hope everyone is ok.

God. I hope they find whoever made/placed the bombs. I've seen some horrible photos and I can't even imagine actually being there.

Currently 64 confirm injured. New York Post are stating that 12 are dead, but as of now the death count is still 2 coming from the Boston police.

A press conference is going on now.

They'll know if it was domestic or foreign real fast. Bomb experts will be able to tell simply by the type of bomb, materials used and how they were assembled. I hope it was foreign. But.. not arab. That's the last thing people need. If domestic then... We need step back and look at what are society is turning into. Really hope its not domestic. But... Two explosions at the finish line of the Boston Marathon have left an unknown number of people injured. Video and photographs from Boston show a scene of confusion, with emergency services descending on the scene and bloodied spectators being taken to a medical tent.
