Nicely done to all of them =D
This thread doesn't have much content though...care to elaborate? You know just posting images with nothing else in the OP is frowned upon, right? =)
Why worry about them? They're were savvy enough to make use of whatever talent or skill they possessed.
I'd be more concerned with bettering myself.
...and every single one of them has a marketable skill or talent that helped them make that kind of money. Your point?

Since when is screaming in front of a mic and camera a marketable skill or talent? :/

Since they make tons of money off of it? Go shout at a mic and see how much money you make =P He didn't say it was musical talent XD

If Pewdiepie has a talent, that talent is being annoying.

I don't disagree but I'm annoying as hell and nobody pays me a dime...

Pretty much.
@themajormayor: what are you bitter about? Do you feel that these people in particular (or famous people in general) make more money than they "deserve" ? Or is it more a jealousy issue.
Also interesting: Just found out from this thread that Lucas is a billionaire.
Also, I'm surprised at how much money 1 Direction makes, I haven't heard much of them, occasionally I hear them on the radio. My guess is they're bigger over in the UK and maybe Australia than they are in the US and that maybe they make most of their money overseas, and I read that they earned $75 million in 2014, largely because they got a Pepsi endorsement.

Since people decided that that's something that they wanted to watch.
So if that's ALL that someone like Pewdiepie does, and if that gets him millions of dollars, then copy his format and see how well that works out for you.

Okay. He also seems to be talented at making kind of a lot of money. Your point? This thread is a bitch-fest about people making lots of money and somehow not deserving it, but the fact of the matter is that these people are rich because they found a way to make a lot of money. So why be jealous? Finding a way to make a lot of money is kind of fucking hard, that's why most people aren't able to do it. If you're jealous of people making money by finding a way to make a lot of money, then by all means, go find a way to make a lot of money and then see how easy that is.
You too can have lots of money if you cater to the lowest common denominator. Good luck....
If that's all there was to it, then there'd be a HELL of a lot more wealthy people around. There are a shitload of people catering to the lowest common denominator, and the vast majority of them are not wealthy.

Honestly, I don't think making huge amounts of money is any sign of talent or genius.
It's just a trick.
I know the trick - but I wouldn't want to use it.

Yep, same. I know how to make huge amounts of money, I just choose not to....I'm amazing like that.
I am more bitter at an entire web forum's admin staff scheming. Although entertainers reaping fortunes while people labor endless hours for small meals is absurd.
I'm bitter at TC having a Hot german g.f whereas i'll be dying a virgin. See ? I can be bitter too at you Majormayor ... lol.
get yerself a hooker indy
nyah, i don't want to get STD :p
I'm sure you will find the right woman Indy keep looking

Seriously though, would you really want to BE some of these people?
You're a good honest man making a decent living. You're happy and content.
You'd trade that for making useless internet videos that could only appeal to people of very low iq?
@thereal25: No, but it's because I wouldn't that I don't have what it takes to be them, even if I wanted to =) Seeing what they do (and sometimes being thoroughly horrified by it =P) and being able/willing to do it myself are very different things. I give them props for being able to embrace the ridicule.

I'd we willing to vouch that most of the people on that list would be no happier than the average person. It looks all glamorous and fun from the outside - but we don't know what they really feel on a day to day basis.
@thereal25: I think that at a point happiness reaches a plateau and no matter how much you have it just becomes your "standard" and then you're no happier than someone who has less than you; I see it all the time around here. Yeah, of course people with more money (and if they don't have to worry about keep earning it) have more freedom and yeah, it's great to be able to buy a new car if you want one or go on vacation wherever you want but while I do think that makes your life less stressful (no nickeling and diming) at the end of the day that doesn't make you happier.
@thereal25: I'm pretty sure at least Bieber feels like absolute shit. Why else would he transform into the little twat that he is?

as long as some dope is willing to pay for that talent, it's a marketable talent

Yeah, it's sad really. He just tries so damn hard to be cool and hip.
Yet, he is probably America's number one most hated person!

Not really sure what you are talking about here. But in entertainment what appeals to the vast majority is catering to the lowest common denominator. And those are the pop culture media that makes the money.
I'm bitter at someone, for procastinating long enough to whether start DA I or not.
I'm not trying to decide whether or not to play it =P I just don't remember anything about the previous 2 games so I'm replaying them first...DAO takes quite a while to complete =P
All of these people have marketable talents and skills and have done quite well to monetize them.
In fact, if you argue they have no talent, it's even more impressive they have managed to become worth so much money.
OP you should hide these feelings of bitterness. It makes you seem like a jealous, pathetic loser.
@Fire_Wa11: Damn you, here I was searching the thread to see if he had posted spoilers for anything airing on the weekend and then I realised what you meant XD

In entertainment, nearly everything caters to the lowest common denominator, including the stuff that doesn't have any kind of widespread appeal.
these people tend to lead miserable lives
everyone around them wants something from them, a share of their reputation, social circle or monetary gains
they spend the better part of the day trying to figure out who their real friends are
i'll pass
Exactly.
Glad someone gets it!
