Biopic Movies about Rock/Metal Bands?

Google and IMDB in general are unreliable, so I'm asking for your help...

Can someone give me a list of movies based on true stories (not documentaries) about specifically ROCK or METAL bands? (by that i mean actors playing the members of bands)

I'm NOT looking for movies with hip hop/pop/ singers or bands.

Rock Star is loosely based on the guy who sang for Judas Priest when Rob Halford left the band. But like that era of Judas Priest, it's really bad.

@joshismfof: Okay, but don't say i didn't warn you that it is really bad. It's just the only metal band biopic I can think of.

The Germs movie "What we do is Secret", and the Runaways movie are decent. But those are punk bands.

"The Doors" with Val Kilmer is actually pretty good. Maybe watch that instead.

Backbeat from 1994. About the Beatles early days before making it big. More about the relationship between John Lennon and Stuart Sutcliffe who left the band to be a painter.

WHats that movie about the Rolling Stones writer? He's like a kid almost but he get's in with this famous band. It's really good and based on a real thing.

Ah, "Almost Famous" is the title. It's not outright about a rock band, but it is about a rock band, and music, in general. It's not a total biopic, though, sorry. But still a great movie!

There's also "The Runaways". I have not seen it myself, but it got good reviews, and it's a pretty great band.
