Beverly Hills, 90210 and Riverdale star Luke Perry dead at 52

To our younger posters, he is probably best known as Fred Andrews, the father of Archie Andrews on the CW series Riverdale. To our older posters, he may be better known as Dylan McKay from the 90s series Beverly Hills, 90210.

Luke passed away Monday morning at St. Joseph's Hospital in Burbank. According to his rep, Luke was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiance Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends.

Hopefully, his family and friends will be able to mourn his passing in peace.

I know that his fellow castmembers on Riverdale will most likely be devistated by the news and trying to figure out how to remove his character from the series from this point on is probably the last thing on their minds.

RIP Luke Perry, way too young to go.

He will mostly be remembered by GenXers for 90210, but I remember from HBO's Oz for a couple episodes, he had the balls to go nude on that show, despite his star power meaning all eyes were on him.

Seemed like a decent dude, I'll have to read more about this. Way too young, 5 years younger than me.

I think most will remember 90210, it´s such a cult classic and has been on various reruns constant ever since it ended.

But its way to early to go and just before he was set to appear in that new big 90210 gig.

Fox will be airing a catch up 90210 show (6 episodes) this summer but Luke wasn’t an announced return. Probably a contractual dispute or availability issues with his Riverdale show. Shannen Doherty is also missing from the cast - not a big surprise there.

RIP Beverly Hills, 90210 was one of my guilty pleasure tv shows back in the day.

I remember him as Reverend Cloutier on Oz. Awesome performance. RIP.

damn, a stroke at 52. i remember him from 90210. i don't remember an awful lot about his character from the series. i do remember when kelly from saved by the bell joined the cast however which, for a teenage boy, was fantastic. god i feel old. rip luke

Wow...and USA Network just aired his guest role on Law & Order: SVU yesterday as part of their weekly Sunday marathon.

Seemed like an decent guy. Sad this happened.

Just got thru season 2 of Riverdale on Netflix. Sucks, I really liked him as an actor.
