Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. Watched it last night and thought it was pretty groovy.

Cowboys and Aliens. I was very pleasantly surprised. Best Sci-Fi flick I've seen in some time.

Cowboys and Aliens of course. A deep, emotional story combined with Oscar-worthy acting from most of the cast, combined with an excellent and moving portrayal of American-Indian relations during the 1800s.

I sense that you're being sarcastic. Even if it lacked those things, it still somehow managed to be a great movie.

The movie was kind of fun to watch, but god it was bad (fun to watch because it was bad in large part :P).

I didn't think it was "bad" per se. I found it very interesting because it borrowed elements from Native American legends regarding flying "thunderbirds" and the aliens were mining gold. That was the mission of the Anunnaki in ancient Sumerian writings. Very strong Ancient Astronaut influence in the movie. I love Harrison Ford, Daniel Craig, and Olivia Wilde as well.

lol I just wanted to be the first to say it. I've only seen a few movies this year. Your Highness (which was pretty wack), Rise of the Apes and TF3. Rise of the Apes was the best out of those 3 for sure.

While I didn't see xmen even though I wanted to I would have to say it is a tye between the help and winnie the pooh. While I loved the help, winnie the pooh holds a special place in my heart.

The Inbetweeners Movie. And I have a feeling it is more or less the highest rated on IMDB, to boot. 8.2 mofos! Of course, you really need need to of watched the full TV series first to enjoy it.

I was about to say Black Swan when I realized it came out last December, it just took me until January to see it.

So instead, I'll say Super 8.

X-Men: First Class followed closely by Harry Potter.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes deserves a nod as well.

I can tell you the worst movie that I've seen this year. X-Men: First Class. I just about fell asleep. What a garbage flick.

I don't think I have seen a movie I really enjoyed that cameout this year, although I don't really go to the movies that much anymore due to the prices. i did see Thor and Captain AMerica....I just can't believe some of you guys thought Thor was a good movie. Just awful.

Movies that I have seen this year that I liked and have no idea what year they were made were The Cove, Touching the Void (Yeah both documentaries but whatever) and Ip Man 1 and 2. Oh and I recently rewatched Uncle Sam which still is the best B horror movie ever!

Personally, I think Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows- Part 2 is my favorite movie of this year so far. What do you think, OT?

Limitless and Source Code were both quite entertaining so they'd get my vote. But I did really enjoy the new Transformers and Thor.
