Well this is bad news for Hillary. I guess that's what happens when you put someone who has integrity up against someone who is untrustworthy.

Does Hillary still have the nomination locked down, OT?

His numbers will drop. Right now people don't know Sanders much beyond that he's not Hillary. When he starts getting exposure eg in the debates, people will start to realize he'd make a shitry president

His policies are great... There is no one else running right now who would make a better president than Bernie Sanders.

Clinton is the only one who is going to stand a chance but i will laugh if the next democratic candidate is Bernie Sanders a guy so old and dry that even a dead tortoise have more charisma.

But it would be fun to have Sanders Vs Trump. But that is never going to happen and it will end up being another Bush vs Clinton.

He is definitely not crazy and his views are spot on, and if it came from any other than him, it would be insane not to pick him over someone like Hillary.

But he is Bernie Sanders and that is going to be his downfall.

True this. Bernie is exactly what this country needs. If you doubt that, try visiting Scandinavia to see how prosperous it is and how much better the people live there than here.

I would much rather have Sanders as president, but when push comes to shove, she is going to raise 100x more than him, then she is just going to go around adopting his stances on more popular issues. At this point it is pretty much a given that Hillary is going to walk right into the white house, but hopefully we can have Bernie as VP.

To the viewers, Hillary is just another Obama to them say the least so it's no surprising that her numbers are falling low but in another way, I don't think this Country is ready for the first first women in charge. Bernie Sanders has this shit lockdown unless he does something stupid.

Sanders is also on home turf there. He's from that region of the US, so he may poll better, but I think Hillary still has the democratic nod locked up.

Hillary is a snake but

Bernie Sanders Could Win Iowa And New Hampshire. Then Lose Everywhere Else.

Hillary Rodham Clinton still is the overwhelming favorite to win the nomination for the Democrats.

I agree with some of Bernie's ideologies and policies.

He seems legit compared to the other candidates, and he's always quick to respond.

Sanders is refreshing because he doesn't seem like your typical big money corporate puppet like most candidates do. He just seems way more honest and down to earth than most candidates, especially Hilary.

I don't assume anything but white liberals are the core of Sanders’s support for which the first two primary states are tailor made. Now it is about expanding his base.

I'm kinda surprised at the percentage of Dem primary voters who consider themselves liberal in some of those states. I'm surprised 55% for CT and 49% for RI seem quite low for such "deep blue" states.

Virtually irrelevant when he describes himself as a Democratic Socialist.

Most people don't know what a Democratic Socialist is, but they know that they don't like the word Socialist. It will take a monumental shift to overcome that label.

I don't understand what's so great about Hillary. Her years as secretary of state saw the shaping of the ISIS and many many shit things happening all around the world because of the U.S. I rather have Donald Trump as the new nagger really.

One question though. Why are democrat candidates so shit this year? And is Joe Biden not a candidate? Does the guy have no support among people?

@alim298: Biden hasn't officially declared yet whether or not he intends to run. Trump thinks Biden would be harder to beat than Hillary. I saw some poll where Sanders was at the top with 44% or so, Hillary after him at 36 or 37 percent, and Biden at 9%.

But let's face it. If democrats want to win, they have to go with Biden. He just needs a good campaign because apparently most people don't even know who he is.

And I think Trump is right. But then again Biden doesn't have that certain amount of bitchery needed against Trump. But Hillary is a b****.

Clinton is doing the same thing she did last time. Acting like it's her turn to be president and not bothering to tell anyone why her over anyone else running. The fact that she's let the whole email thing drag on this long isn't helping. Both of the Clintons seem to have an aversion to giving a straight answer, Bill at least knows how to schmooze and get away with it while Hillary hasn't figured out how to do that. I'll take her over any of the republicans but that doesn't mean I'd be happy about it.

If they are dumb enough to nominate him, it will be a Dukakis blood bath all over again. The democrats are already losing middle America on the gun control debate, now you put in an old fart that describes himself as a socialist, zero chance they can get any votes out of the swing states. Almost like the democrats thought they had a slam dunk with Clinton, but now they have to scramble like mad to find a replacement, or just play their hand and hope a third party conservative leeches votes.

Hate to say it but when a socialist is making more sense than everybody else his being a socialist doesn't seem to matter so much.

John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Martin Van Buren, Theodore Roosevelt, Calvin Coolidge, Harry S. Truman, Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard Nixon, and George H. W. Bush would all disagree with you.

BTW, that would mean that 20% of all elected Presidents were Vice Presidents.

Including the Vice Presidents that became President because the President died or resigned in office the percentage is even higher.

So, I would say Vice Presidents have a much better chance at being President than any other politician would.

New Hampshire is exceptionally white, Bernie's far less popular with minorities, and that's a critical weakness in a modern U.S. candidate.

He's basically the Ron Paul of the left in that he is popular with a group that is very vocal, overstating its size and power. He's also a protectionist ignoramus who'd ruin the U.S. economy by screwing with trade agreements and promoting autarky, reducing labour immigration and hamstringing the Federal Reserve - again, behaving as a Democrat counterpart to Ron Paul who'd have had a similar effect, just with a different philosophical angle.

The only thing he's good at is creating a populist message that appeals to voters with a shallow understanding of economics (but an overconfident sense of their own knowledge in that area). What will probably happen is he'll fade into irrelevance like Ron Paul, which would be an ideal situation because this idiot actually could and would wreck the world economy with his terrible ideas and policies.

Well in fairness, four of those (TR, Coolidge Truman, Johnson) originally became president because the sitting president died in office.

He won't even get the nomination. He's got a niche that's overly vocal. I support a lot of his stances on social issues but he's lost me on a lot of economic policies. I'm not an isolationist when it comes to trade or foreign policy. With that being said I'd still vote for him over any Republican. Any vacant seats on the Supreme Court need a democrat to fill them. We can't take the chance of getting another Scalia or Thomas.

I want Bernie Sanders to win very badly. I just don't think he will. He is extremely popular with young people and the internet, but I feel like the older crowd is uninformed because typical press won't cover him. However, my grandma told me she is voting Bernie, so good for her!!

He is popular among liberals for the same reason Trump is popular among conservatives, people are tired of establishment politicians. It does not matter what side of the aisle you fall on, both democrats and republicans are corrupt, dishonest people who live in the pockets of various lobbyists, and the polls on all sides are showing that voters want non-politicians in office which is why Bernie is up among liberals and people like Trump and Carson are up amongst conservatives.
