There is no character developement to Ash ever since the show started, so that's not unexpected. Honestly, I don't like how the anime is written. It's too redundant. Also, wouldn't it better to see a new character besides Ash in a new series?Genetic_Code
No.
Ash is the king of Pokemon land.
Cool. I'd like to see you do better.YRMA-JAR
I did. I own over 500 Pokemon, and became Elite 4 Champion over 30 times. Ash has nothing on me.

Too bad there are only 493 Pokémon, unless you're counting duplicates.

Well, there was always a romance between Ash and Misty that was alluded to.
They traveled together constantly for years. I find it hard to believe he never hit that.
Once Ash released Charizard, he was dead to me. Dead.Theokhoth
You mean you'd keep a dragon that periodically kicks the crap outta you?

Yes, but then she left. Who's Ash's female companion now? Dawn? May? This guy changes friends and Pokémon like a girl changes clothes.

At that point, Charizard and Ash had a great relationship, since Ash saved Charizard's life. And then the dumbass let him go because he was getting flabby!

Espically since there next best friend was a womanizer. If Ash had any chick advice he would ask Brock who would then tell him to hit that.
No.
Ash is the king of Pokemon land.
auron_16
Really? I must've missed last night's episode where he beat the Elite Four.

The show portrays Brock as the womanizer, but in reality, Ash is the poképimp.

Yes. Charizard got frozen and nearly died, but Ash saved his life, thus earning Charizard's respect.
Then Ash dumped him in some valley with a bunch of other Charizards because his Charizard actually was pretty weak as far as Charizards go.
