[QUOTE="Cataclism"][QUOTE="Mike-uk"][QUOTE="Cataclism"] This. If you're constantly tired without explanation it could actually be a symptom of something like chronic infections and hormonal disorders for example. I recommend you go see your doctor. Obesity may also cause it so go look at yourself in the mirror while you're at it.

Id say I'm at a good weight for my height, my fatigue is constant and what is strange is that drinking a red bull doesn't make me energized or more alert in any way, shape or form. How is that even possible?

Like I said, go see your doctor. Constant fatigue is a symptom of a number of diseases.

I guess ill have to, because it may also be causing me to experience derealization. I wouldn't wish that on anyone, it sucks.

[QUOTE="Cataclism"] Unless he's a genius, I doubt he's 15 with college starting up in September.Cataclism

TC that you?!

I fail to understand how you arrived at that conclusion... He clearly stated a few posts back that his college was starting up in September.

it was a joke, even the post above mine he states that he's 20.

start working out, getting vitamin C, full breakfast, and some sun... you'll be energized and ready to attack the world.

I do all of those things in abundance, and I'm still tired.

Really, the best way to do it is to set and rise with the sun. Go to bed when it gets dark, and get up when it gets light.harashawn

That depends on the person. There have been sleep studies that show that people literally have different natural "sleep schedules." It doesn't matter if I get 5 hours or 8 hours of sleep, I don't function correctly until at least 9:30 or 10:00am. I function best in the afternoon and evening.

Yeah, that is a factor. I've suffered from depression for the last 13 years. I've tried all sorts of things. Are you depressed?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Drinking Red Bull is a lie. Caffeine will not improve fatigue. Caffeine is a stimulant, the effects are temporary and artificial. You want to improve your energy levels, eat heatlhy/clean. Cut the crap out your diet.

A poster above mentioned B12 supplements. You can't eat healthy? Supplement your diet with high quality vitamins. B vits are the ones that help your body process energy from the food that you eat, directly impacting your energy levels.

Trust me, I do this for a living.

If all that fails - get yourself to the docs, chronic fatigue is often a symptom of many ailments, depression for one, and any number of auto-immune disorders. If you are worried, see a doc.

Nope, I'm not. I don't get a lot of sleep but I keep myself busy enough through the day that tired doesn't hit until the evening when I start to slow down again

Yeah, pretty much. I never feel refreshed and I never feel well-rested regardless of how much (or how little) sleep I get. If I sleep for one hour, three hours, six hours, or ten hours, I pretty much feel the same. I don't often sleep for longer than, like, five hours though, and it takes me forever to fall asleep. I have insomnia so I guess that has something to do with it.

Yes, mainly because I work up to 4 different shifts a week, take medications which may contribute, and inactivity...which also can also. ("a body at rest tends to stay at rest")

Before the summer started, I was pretty much feeling dead everyday in classes. My fault with the procrastination and late night gaming sessions when I should've been working :P. Now that it's the break, I'm feeling normal again with the added rest.

No but I used to be. If you happen to stare at screens for prolonged periods of time it can lead to unusual feelings of drowsiness throughout the day affecting your concentration.

Before I used to be exhausted. I mean tired all the time. Now, ever since I started getting more sleep, I feel less exhausted. I drink LOTS of water too.
