Before HD became the standard, I was completely fine with SDTV, but after having to cancel my upgraded package, I realized how much better HD is and how everything looks a lot more grainier on regular tv. Same thing applies to Youtube videos and smartphones. Are you an HD nut? Also, if you have an HDTV, what size is it? I have a 32" Dynex. :D

It shouldn't be 'an'. :P Also, once going HD it's hard to go back, sadly my connection isn't the best so I still watch normal Youtube videos.

I'm at school right now and watching TV in SD just sucks to me. Thank goodness that we can still play videogames in HD though.

Absolutely. I have a 42" Samsung, 37" Toshiba, optical TV, and way more blu-rays and hd-dvds than anyone should have. It's a sickness. :(

I do that, too. Only when I want to watch a game trailer or demonstration do I change it to HD. It takes a long time to buffer though...

It depends on the movie.

I bought True Grit in HD because I wanted to better looking scenery. I bought Wanted and 30 Days of Night on DVD because I wanted violence.

At the same time I won't watch films like Avatar or Star Wars at all because their entire focus is on special effects and being as up to date and high def as possible, leading to an extremely shallow end result.

HD as an acronym starts with a vowel sound, though - it should be prefaced with an.

Not sure how much of a nut I am, it just makes sense to get things in HD now. It's like the transition from VHS to DVD for me.

I just recently bought a 46" Sony Bravia though so... maybe?

How so? The whole story was based around the idea that the human race is built to destroy, the movie is sort of a wake up call, even though most aren't perceptive enough to understand it.

I had a 32" Dynex before. I sit pretty far away from the TV as well so it made sense.

I saw the film as incredibly black and white, portraying the Marines as a bunch of ****ed meatheads with no personality and the scientists and blue people as extremely peaceful and nonviolent.

Granted, I saw the film once in the barracks about a year ago and didn't really pay much attention to it so maybe thats why.

Nah, my tv is HD and my digital cable box is also HD, but there are only about 20 HD channels. Most of them are pretty nice, but the shows are not all in HD. So you'll watch a HD channel then you're not. I don't own a Blu-ray player, probably won't anytime soon. I could honestly care less, but its awesome playing games at 1080p.

I have a 32" Samsung HDTV, but I have no problem watching SD on a SDTV. It's the SD channels that don't broadcast in HD on my television that are a pain to look at. Non-HD videos on the internet look terrible for me as well.

Sure, but it doesn't compare to playing a PC game on a 30" monitor at 2560 x 1600.

HD is standard to me now. SD is just...ancient....so it doesn't exist to me anymore. There can be only one: The True Definition. High Definition.

If I had the option between SD and HD, of course I would choose HD. But I'm fine with SD. Regarding sound though, I'm pretty picky a lot of the time.

I like HD though 720p isn't that much worse than 1080p. However a much more important thing is for me to be able to get the content on demand, if you just broadcast your content and it's not rolling news then i am not going to watch it no matter what resolution it's in.

I will always prefer HD over SD any day. I have a 32" 720p tv, a 24" 1080p monitor, and a qHD smartphone. Only thing I care to have SD are the old games that look like crap on HD.

I am for sure. I have a 55 inch Sony Bravia in my living room and a 46 inch Bravia in the bed room. Both are 3D so I guess I am a 3D nut too. I just started replacing my DVD collection with Blu Ray as well. Watching movies is me and my fiance's past time so we go all out.
