i just watched this the other night, and i must say, i was slightly disappointed. i dont think it was gory or bloody as it could have been, and the plot wasn't as good as in the first 2 movies.

I've heard really good reviews of that movie. What I think is that even though I didn't watch the movie, it can't be worse than Saw 2. Saw 2 was just brutal

it was deffinitely a good movie, i just think they spent too much time on making more elaborate traps, and not enough time in creating the kind of plot they had in the first 2 movies. in the first 2, you really weren't expecting the ending that you got. in this, it was kind of like, thats it?

It's a great movie, with a great ending like all Saw movies. I liked it even though there is a lot more blood and other gore in it.

Are you serious? Because seriously I was going to go to BestBUY and I was going to buy it on BluRay. Tell me if it sucks that bad.

I thought that the storyline for this movie was really good and it fit well into the first two movies, i do have to agree that they seem like they spend way to much time trying to think of more grusome and elaborate traps, not my favorite of the three

I didnt like how in Saw 3 it focused on 1 main guy. I liked the other two better because they had little plots for each character.

i'm more upset over the plot more than anything because *Spoilers* in the 1st movie, you found out why jigsaw is doing this to people, you find out that he's the guy with his head blown off in the bathroom, and one of the guys gets trapped in the room at the end with the other guy in the 2nd movie, you find out at the end that everything that the cops were watching was on tape, which kind of threw me off at first, and you find out that Amanda is working for jigsaw *end spoilers* in this movie, jigsaw doesnt seem to be killing people for any particular reason, and then he and amanda get killed off. it kinda sux

Well it's a movie in the 21 century, mainstream cinema like what you described is actually better than some of the other crap people manage to vomit out. :P It's not like I'm saying it is my favorite movie/series of all time, it isn't.

Hence my analogy. And there are still good movies coming out to this day, but the Internet age kids and students who can't concentrate for more than 2 minutes are over hyping all the filth.

You read my mind.  It's linear and bland and the only thing that it uses to propell itself is the excess amount of unessecary blood.  It had no brain to it and it was boring.  It sucked.  Period.

I thought it was pretty damn awful :? The main plot line around the "family" man seemed very thrown together and all of his tests were pointless to him. It was just a stupid movie IMO. Where did all the horror go? Up it's own arse most likely. It seemed to me as if the movie thought it was better than it actually was.

Wasnt my favorite in the series...but it definatley wasn't that bad of a movie. i didn't like how they were just focusing on one main guy as in the other ones there were 2 or more. If they had jsut added a few more characters and focused less on the traps and more on the story i think it could have been a great movie.

I'm disappointed with modern day horror movies altogether...Squidward117

Horror movies have been going downhill for years. The recent explosion of torture porn just shows how few ideas are left for the genre, since no one seems interested in scaring people. I think The Descent last year was the only movie that tried somewhat succesfully.

Indeed.

To quote celebrated horror director, Dario Argento :

"Horror by definition is the emotion of pure revulsion. Terror of the same standard, is that of fearful anticipation"

Not gory enough? It was the most gory of them all...anyways you are right about not being as good as the first one atleast, I think the 2nd one wasn't as good as the 3rd. The ending was not as satisfying as I would have hoped, but I enjoyed the movie anyways. I just love movies that are suspensful throughout, and they blind side you with a surprise ending...such as the first one, excellent ending to that one.

The ending was the wierdest most creative thing i have ever seen since SAW I. the gore was the focus of the movie i felt, i wish they turned that down a little. but besides that the Twist at the end made me scream lol
