America....a list of things that are wrong with it!

now this is from an outsider looking in but it seems like its a country in shambles.

1.) the gun crime culture So? How is this a problem?

2.)the constant flow of advertising at every turn This is a capitalist economy. What the hell did you expect, pseudo-capitalism/socialist laws on the free market?

3.)the government and fox spewing BS all day every day. This is true of every country. And the goverment doesn't spew BS as a whole, the Administration does.

4.)the weight problems....fast food is everywhere and it shows with the amount of overweight people in America This is a legitamate problem, but a minor one at that.

5.)the education system...too many things wrong to list It's a real problem, but really, I would love for you to list them. I really want to see what you know :|

6.)the intolerance for other race or religion(Muslims mainly) Exactly what the hell are you talking about? There is religious intolerance everywhere, and last I heard, it's worse in parts of Europe than it is in the US. *cough*riots*cough*religiously offensive comic*cough*

7.)Bush He's a fool, I will give you that.

8.)the amount of money spent every year on the military. This is a superpower. The most powerful and politically active superpower. What do you expect?

9.)Iraq (Iran in the future?) This goes more with "Bush"

10.)how heavily it depends on imports And yet...our economy trumps everyone elses. :|

I won't argue orphanages, but they aren't perfect places.

And fund raising, they fund raise for their own causes, not society, let me know when a church fund raises to help with stem cell research, the human genome projects etc. Also you can say well they fundraise to help families, but in order to get help you have to be from that congregation, for example a church wouldn't give me money to help out if I had cancer, but it would help one of its members, once again this is self serving and not true altruism.

Missionaries visit people to help them and introduce them to Christianity. It's altruism because these are christians who take the time to help other's to find the truth (to them at least). They worry about other people going to heaven or hell, not just themselves. This is altruism because Christians recieve no benefit from God/heaven for helping other people, hence selflessness and hence altruism.

Any good church would take care of anyone who asks for assistance (the one's I've been to at least).

Seriously though, I don't know what kind of school your cousin goes to (probably one of the really bad rural or inner city ones) but at the ones I went to we learned quite a bit about world history, geography, and foreign languages (though granted I don't know anyone who became remotely fluent through school, except for college of course).
