Am I too young to wear suits?

Hello guys I am 17 years old and I am now entering college, I am like "starting a new phase on my life" and I would like to start wearing suits (it's actually a thing I have been loving to do for some time ago).

What do you suggest guys?

Also, in college, I'd say anything more than basketball shorts, a tshirt and flipflops is overdressed when the weather is still warm.

If you can borrow a few suits from Don Cherry those would be good to wear to class.

Why would you want to wear a suit? I have one for interviews but that's it. I've worn it like 6 times I think in the year I've had it.

Don't let the slobs deter you.  Good fashion sense nowadays is underrated.  If you want to wear a suit fine, you will stand out a bit in it but haters gonna hate.

Maybe get a nice hat to go with it.

You're still going to wear a suit to class, aren't you? :P lol, I think he will but some people need to learn the hard way. After his 1st day of college he will probably quit, I just hope he doesn't waste money buying something like 5 suits he won't wear after the 1st day.

Suits are just for special occasions imo. Also if your really overweight or work at a bank / mafia I guess its acceptable.

I've seen guys in college that wear suits,it's not unheard of. One instructor as this guy in a suit if he was going anywhere, he said no, he just liked dressing like that. Just do what you want TC.bobaban

Never too young to suit up, but pick your spots. Save it for special occaisions.

College is the last time in your life when you can dress as dumb as you want and nobody will bat an eye.

Gell back your hair and smoke some high quality cigs in class too.

No but it's not necessary and inappropriate for school (unless some project requires it). Wear a suit for formal events, funerals, or job interviews but for college? If you want to dress nice for college, wear khakis and a collared t-shirt and make sure it's comfortable especially during the summer. Other reason not to war a suit is due to the heat.

Also, there are different types of suits each suited for a different situation which you should look up on Google. You're not too young to wear a suit but it's not appropriate unless the situation warrants it.
