How would The Beatles be ovverated? They did more than make music. They influenced a whole generation, kicked off the Summer Of Love, and IMO helped stop comminism. And they're music stays with you, not just passes by you, like AC/DC and KISS stuff.
everyone states how influential the Beatles were but doesnt realize another band could have easily filled the void, and if you want to talk about influence than all classical composers should have more credit than any artist within the past century because they created the music genre and paved the way for what we have now
They picked The Beatles to fill that void because they feel close to them. I don't know what it is about them, but people feel really close to them just from their music. How did c.lassical composers create rock?
they created music which created rock, rock wouldnt just magically appear out of thin air would it? Just like how blues influenced Hip-hop
Blues and country made rock >_>
how did those start?
When slaves made guitars to play on Sundays for worship. That was blues.
Country was blues but white people took it from their slaves and made it their own.
my point is not ****cal music directly influenced music today but how it started the whole musical movement allowing for music to progress as it has.
You're right about that. Without ****cal music, there wouldn't be string-quartet for "Yesterday"
But really. The Beatles lifted music off it's knees and made kick-ass music.
