Er no. I wasn't even alive back then. :|LJS9502_basicsame here. It would be like still having hard feelings over slavery which doesn't happen at all.
Like you said, that was over 70 years ago. So, no hard feelings. Besides, after the 2 A-Bombs, I think Japan knows not to mess with us.
A chicken and a cow did that sorry, after the Japanese figured the whale and the dolphin was a sham.Like you said, that was over 70 years ago. So, no hard feelings. Besides, after the 2 A-Bombs, I think Japan knows not to mess with us.

I am not american but I think you guys are pretty much equal. Actually you may owe them a little apology because at least they attacked a military base.. the US just drop two big bombs on the general public.

Pretty much... Killing civilians isn't like killing military. But hey, someone had to test the newly invented nukes, right? :D
If you look at the history of ww2, pearl harbor was not just a suprise attack. Japan was short of recourses after the U.S embargo of oil (which was done because the U.S didn't approve of japanese expansion in mainland asia), and had two options. It could withdraw from manchuria and pursue trade with america, but at the expense of self reliance, or It could make war with the America and its allies and become the undisputed master of the pacific. Natuarlly, the second option sounded better to the government that was in power. Afterall, At that time Japan had the best navy in the world, and their victories in china made them overconfident.
No both cities were important militarily.;)I am not american but I think you guys are pretty much equal. Actually you may owe them a little apology because at least they attacked a military base.. the US just drop two big bombs on the general public.

Dropping two atomic bombs was much worse than Pearl Harbor. Are you angered by pearl harbor? i mean do you still have hard feelings towards the japanese even though it was 70 years ago?

[QUOTE="Tokugawa77"]Dropping two atomic bombs was much worse than Pearl Harbor. Nope, I love Japan. WW2 was a terrible thing, but without it I doubt Germany and Japan would have been so Westernized as they have been. However my Grandfather would disagree, he still harbors bad feelings for Japan.

Nope, not at all. I love Japanese culture and would love to visit Japan sometime. Besides, why would I hate a whole nationality of people when the vast majority of them did absolutely nothing?
No, nor do I have hard feelings toward Germany. WW2 was 70 years ago and most of the people responsible have died.
Don't tell that to the jews, they will call you an anti-Semite. No hate, just saying. No, nor do I have hard feelings toward Germany. WW2 was 70 years ago and most of the people responsible have died.

World War 2 was a long time ago.. if everyone went about holding grudges against people for stuff that happened long ago then the world will be absolutely filled with hate. 0Tyler0
i agree unfortunatley that doesn't happen with every country.....coughs Israel Palestine coughs
What we did to them was x100000 times worst. So if anything you should be asking the Japanese why they don't hate us.Are you angered by pearl harbor? i mean do you still have hard feelings towards the japanese even though it was 70 years ago?

I think you ought to read up on things like the Rape on Nanking, or the actions of the Japanese government toward Koreans before you fault us for beating them.[QUOTE="Tokugawa77"]What we did to them was x100000 times worst. I don't think the Atomic Bombs caused nearly as much suffering as the Rape of Nanking.
And it was the bombs or an invasion of mainland Japan, which would have resulted in even more civilian deaths since they were all ordered to fight us with broom sticks if necessary.

I don't think I was specific... so obviously I was talking about more than just Atomic Bombs.[QUOTE="br0kenrabbit"][QUOTE="EMOEVOLUTION"] What we did to them was x100000 times worst. So if anything you should be asking the Japanese why they don't hate us.EMOEVOLUTION

Yes, of course, you'd give America all the credit for the rebuilding of the Japanese Empire... I love jingoism. And I was talking about the collective destruction of Japan... we killed many innocent citizens with many types of bombs.. all they did was a attack base at pearl harbor. You can't really compare the two. Anyways, the reason the Japanese don't hate us is because they saw that their leader lead them into that mess to begin with. But there is still no excuse for killing citizens. And we also locked up many Japanese Americans for no reason other than fear. I have nothing more to say if you think attacking a military base is equivalant to slaughtering hundreds and thousands of non military personal.Yes, of course, you'd give America all the credit for the rebuilding of the Japanese Empire... An act of aggression is the start of the war. They are guilty of putting their citizens in danger. We would have had no reason to retaliate if they had not attacked. Interesting how you find an aggressive move to be blameless though....
