Went to traffi school today, and the instructor kept talking about that movie and how Obama is prepping the USA and the rest of the world for complete domination in ALL senses. He was probably exaggerating, but that's what he said. Look it up on youtube for trailers. Thoughts?

Aljosa23

From the wiki entry: "Such an upbringing D'Souza contends has caused President Obama to subscribe "to an ideology that sees America very differently."D'Souza asserts that Obama's fathers Kenyan roots in particular have inspired the President "to shrink Americas footprint in the world because he thinks weve been stepping on the world."

Oh, the horror.

Also, propagandizing in traffic school? That, I think, is a new low.

Well this IS moneymatterz. He probably thinks Fox is liberal propaganda. He's not wrong though, Moveon sucks. Thinkprogress is a little better but still pretty crappy.

Pretty sure I saw a Republican-bashing thread you created about some news article from thinkprogress.org. First thing I did upon clicking the thread was scroll down to verify my suspicions. That's why I distinctively remember dismissing the thread entirely.

I saw it two weeks ago and enjoyed it. Is the D'Souza guy conservative? Yes, but the film was entertaining and shed some light on topics that aren't really talked about much in popular media. Regardless of your political persuasion, I think seeing this, and anything else like it (be it something from say, Michael Moore) could provide some insight on the disparate ideologies.

I say see it before you judge it - you may be surprised how very little punditry is put into the film.

Nope. And won't, just like I won't see a movie made by Michael Moore. I have enough biased information coming at me, I don't need a conservative fantasy.

You are aware that this is a forum where people discuss? I see something worthy of discussion, I'll post it even if I don't agree with it. If you have a problem with it then that's fine too, pay me no mind.

I don't even watch Michael Moore's documentaries but he's a Librul.

It's one thing to read an article on a website, it's a nother to believe it wholeheartedly without thinking about the source of the information.

It's about how he wants to minimize America's cultural and military influence in the world.

Today Hannity was saying that it "shows how and why Obama wants to distribute America's power and wealth to other countries."

His relationship with his mother, her ideology and its influence on Obama; Obama Sr's ideology and its influence on Obama; Obama's mentors and their influence on Obama's ideology. Essentially, the documentary takes the narrative of his own books, sheds some light on his past, his mentors and attempts to give some interpretation of his choices as both a young man and the President of the United States.

I'm sure a very interesting documentary could be made with the facts of Mitt Romney's life. A part of 2016 is the goal of the documentary. It isn't just to talk about Obama's childhood, his adulthood, his views. It's to skew them in such a way as to scare the population into believing that Obama is going to bring about the doom of the world.

Why is it that every time I ask moneymatterz whether he praised Jesus when Obamacare was ruled constitutional, he disappears from the thread? :(

His opinions aren't the draw of the documentary though. Sure, if someone needs to hear another's opinion to form their own, that's one thing, but the facts of the documentary are what's compelling about it.

I don't know, Romney isn't nearly as compelling a character as Obama.

And why is that? Romney could very well be the next President of the US. That compelling enough for me.

Well, because literally came from nowhere, relatively speaking. Also, he's a very unusual president, especially with his background.
