huh.....now www.ps3seeker.com/wii is saying that wal mart is getting there share of the Wii soon....again i wonder if this will reflect all the canadian wal marts at all or anywhere in canada for that matter.....(toronto to be exact) there's a million wal-marts out here...i really want the Wii..i still have 2 gift cards that i want to use on Wii games

Except that major chains have a lawyer on retainer to deal with such things. The incremental cost is nil IF it were ever to come to anything like that. Which it never will. Why? Well quite frankly it would cost YOU more than $250 to bring such a lawsuit, even if you had a lawyer working pro-bono. That and you have no legal cause of action. The store is smart enough to protect itself and not offer any sort of guarantee that the ticket gets you anyhting. In any case running around yelling about how your mythical lawyer will sue such and such a store is stupid, and will most likely get you simply laughed at by the store. They know better, and you aren't the first problem case the store has had to deal with.
me, but then again nt once did i go o a shop to see if they have a wii. i holding off until MP3/black wii/ price drop/ or a decent amount of games come out on it/and until my courseworks finesh which is in april. :)
is it even possible to pre order a system that's already out.....sorry if i sound dumb founded but ive never heard of the ability to reserve something once it's already on the shelf's....

Me!!! i live overseas on a millitary base so i can't get one, but if i lived in the states i would have one at lauch... we havn't even recieved one shipment yet... thats why i hate living with the military, we live overseas just for the governmnet... the least they could do is build us a walmart that recievs stuff for launch and stuff
I still don't have one and they're so damn rare here in Sweden, but hopefully a shipment will come around february/march. ^^
A place called "El Giganten" had a few Wiis though, but they sold them for about $549, I was like "wtf", talk about overpriced. The original price is about $399.
Anyone who really wants one has one. It only takes a few days of phone calls to get one. I had 15 stores I called multiple times a day, knowing their shipment times and whether each store had got its shipments in for the day. Took me 3 days and I got mine.

yea and we all hate you for it and i Envy you CKuer for not giving up....i was doing what you where doing for 2 solid days until calling like the millions of stores near me got to be to much timewasting only to get the same **** answer over and over again THEN when there was the whole HUGE 21st sale thing my Best Buy Backstabbed me by selling all the Wii's MUCH earlyier then they were supposed to.....guess i should just keep spamming my place's with phone calls then until i get some positive answer.....but how did know your stores shipment times and if they did have them in stock and you were CALLING them .... how did you manage to get to the store without the Wii already being bought possibly as soon as you hook up the phone

i got mine yesterday.. i was the first to walk into my gamestop when it opened and i was like..."one Wii please" and the guy was like no problem.the had recieved 2 Wii's. one guy was unfortunate cuz he spent his time looking at wat game to get for his Wii that he would buy and he got the game and then went to the counter to ask for a Wii and the clerk said. we just sold out and the guy..was like "dammit!" i thought it was funny. i got mine tho and i love it!evrynitewithyou

I got mine today:D. i cant believe it. i went to the mall to meet my girlfriend and a few other friends at 4pm and we saw a lady walk by with a big EB Games bag, so we decided to go there and check it out. When we got there they asked me if i by chance wanted a Wii, i said kinda, thinking they were gonna tell me no, the lady looked at me and was like "kinda?, well we have one if you want to buy it", of course i jumped on the opportunity in complete shock that they werent sold out. So now im freaking happy because everywhere else is sold one and i finally have one.
i live in the uk i have the cash but i can not find any at all i dont even know when the shops are expecting wiis who can help me out on this i aint buying from ebay thanks

There have been several walmart.com and ebgames/gamestop.com preorder sales since its release...There were 2 before christmas on the EB/GS sites and there was one just recently "shipping late January"...usually you have to buy $400 worth of other stuff, but if you are ebay savy or have friends that want stuff, or just want the stuff its worth it if you really, really want one and have no other way. When they have those orders, they usually ship out in like 2 weeks.
I went to the open 24/7 local walmart at 11 last night, waited an hour and was 12th in line.... they got 11 wiis. Now im going to wait in line at Best Buy for 2 hours, its -2 degrees now, wish me luck!

Best Buy was a bust, waited for 2 hours and they had none in stock, but I did buy a nunchuck, now im going to go to EB games to see if by some amazing chance they are there, and if not im going to get Zelda:TP for Wii there and wait till next week.
I am a Canadian. Its the same everywhere in BC Canada too. In the town who is gonna host the 2010 Olympics, but NO WII"S GUITAR HERO'S, and probably when ROCKBAND is released they won't carry those games.
I got mine by pure luck at Blockbuster. Wii's Guitar Hero's my friend bought it for me while he was in Orlando for Wrestlemania 24. People in Orlando was saying Come on BC Canada get with it get more games and Systems in.
Never ask at Best Buy Canada. Or Future Shop. I keep looking at Walmart. We finally have a Electronic's Boutique shop.
