im sure some ones mentioned this but why dosent ninty take a shot at making a fps? it dosent have to use the mario characters but it could use brand new original nintendo characters! and the game would have a freindly feel vs a dark one so it would appeal to more of the wii audience but still have solid good game play!kenakuma
Because Nintendo is a Japanese developer and FPS games have zero following in Japan. They could get a second or third party studio to develop while they publish (like with Rare and Perfect Dark/Goldeneye).
Who knows? Maybe Nintendo will publish the Conduit.
Someone referred to that interview in which they said no splitscreen. 2 things should be pointed out giving a little hope to those like me who want split screen.
1. They said not likely.-They did not use an absolute.
2. They said not likely IN THIS VERSION.They did not clarify if version meant they might make a Conduit 2, or if they meant in the current build of the game.
3. In an interview with either Gamespot or IGN, they stated that when they thought of multiplayer they thought of friends and family playing each other in a basement like atmosphere. HV wants this to be what Perfect Dark and Goldeneye was to the N64 in the good aspects, splitscreen was one of them.
4. In the interview with IGN in which they said they will be at E3, they said there mostly polishing and working on multiplayer. Seeing how this is a Q1 release of 2009, this game is still 5-8 months away.
Of couse this is all speculation, and we may find out for sure tommorrow at the Ninty Presser.
On topic, I will definitely support this game, the question for me is the splitscreen, which will decide if I do all in my power to get it 1st day or within the week.
