How do I save to an SD Card, as opposed to saving directly to the Wii?

Most games don't have that feature. Actually, I don't think any do.

Save files can be saved on the Wii but can be copied or moved to your SD card. Unfortunately, you can't run the save data off the SD card directly. You would have to move it back to your Wii.

The same goes for Virtual Console/Wiiware games. They can't run directly off an SD card so the only thing you can do is copy them back and forth if you're having storage issues. It's a bit of a nuisance, yes.

So, what If I run out of room on the Wii? Do I copy some stuff to the card, then copy it back when I need it?

Yeah, that is what you have to do, it's a hassle but it's better than having to delete them and start all over whenever you want to play.

Yep. It's the storage problem that most people complain about. You can also delete virtual console games and re-download them whenever, which is an unnecessary hassle.

If you are referring to VC games, you can just delete them. The games you buy are linked to your console and you can redownload them whnever you want. Or yes, you can move them to an SD card and move them back. I generally just choose to delete.

Delete the vc games you aren't playing and won't play again when you complete them. Problem solved.
