Pretty sure Yoshi is a guy, who knows why he lays eggs though.
Also, Birdo used to be male.
Kirbsix
Birdo, or "Catherine" as he's know in Japan, still is male. Nintendo of America simply censors this fact to avoid a potential controversy.

Explain ? yoshi, in theory, is both male and female.... Hes a dinosaur... Think about the eggs.. males don't lay eggs... females do...
Actually, some male dinosaurs layed eggs. Here is a fakelink
But seriously, it's true.

How about an actual link, and I do understand that it is a very strange and isolated matter. He's a dude, watch the 1st video of the 3 videos at the bottom of the page here.
Oh, and Birdo is a dude too. Though he used to be called Ostro. This is a page directly from the instruction book of "Super Mario Bros. 2."
Now you're filled in.

[QUOTE="The_Gr8_Leon"]Hey, the male seahorse is the one who gets pregnant.Duckman5
So do these wierd looking things:
Those are sea Horses. :P
They're in the seahorse family, but not seahorses as we know them.
yoshis a dude that can lay eggs...im pretty sure there are some male animals that can reproduce asexuallylegend26
You can produce an offspring without sperm, but not without an egg. Thus no, there's no such thing as a male asexual animal.
If awesome was a gender, that would be Yoshi's.
If not, I'd go with the seahorse theory. It'd make sense. But where'd he get the eggs from?
FYI asexual reproduction in one-celled organisms leads to a new organism it just requires one parent because it splits itself apart. All cell division wouldbe for in multi-celled organisms is growth and repair. On the other hand multi-celled organisms like Yoshi require two parents for reproduction.

Ah, but Asexual reproduction DOES occur in certain multicellular organisms. In some very simple animals, if you split them in half, will regenerate into two completely new organisms. There are also cases where the egg or seed develops without fertilization. The most notable examples are certain worms (split) and many species of plant (split AND/OR self developing ova), but there are examples of it occurring in vertebrate animals as well. (see: Parthenogenesis)

These are the most useless kind of posts in here. This topic has created actual discussion, and that's what I'm sticking around for.
