I haven't played the mario game yet but i was disappointed with the zelda one, the story was a little odd and the whole wolf thing i found it a stupid idea

well in that case pick twilight princess it's a pretty long game if you want to get everything acomplished. It's so long lasting because of some of the intense dungeon puzzles And it is pretty fun. Plus it has a great stroyline. SMG is fun as well but might not be as long lasting,unless you want to collect everysingle star. But the levels do get a tad repetetive after a while.
The Legend of Zelda TP was rather disappointing for me, I don't really like swinging the remote just to attack, some times I wish I could just push a button, but it is after all a GameCube port. Super Mario Galaxy on the other hand is fun, easy to pick and play, and everything about it is absolutely great. It uses the motion controls very well, all of it simply feels good. It looks beautiful, and it is great game in every aspect. pick Super Mario Galaxy, it is one of the greatest game Nintendo produced in years.
If you haven`t played Ocarina of Time then Twilight Princess will deeply impress you, but if you have already played Ocarina it will feel like you are playing it all over again. But it is still a great game with lots of dungeons and a very lenghty adventure. However, I think Super Mario Galaxy is much better because it brings new things to the series and it is quite innovative.
SMG is really good when you first play it, but once I beat it I stopped playing it. Once the game is beaten you can play the entire thing all over with Luigi so I guess thats cool, I'm just too lazy to do all the galaxies all over, even if its with Luigi. :lol:
You'll get a good game either way. Galaxy is a more unique experience, while TP feels just like all the other Zeldas. That being said, I got bored with both of them, but I did eventually go back and beat TP.
i have both and i say there both about the same exept if you want more of a story get Zelda if you want a good graphics (for the Wii's standerds) get Mario
Both are great games, but both have a flaw too. Get Zelda if you like long, with puzzles and a few fights along the way and a great story, but be warned, the graphics are pretty bad. Get mario if you want short sweet and fun, with not a whole lot of depth, that leaves a lasting impression. In all honesty though, get SSBB. More worth it = )

Zelda is much more epic and has a good story. It is also longerthan SMG too. It really comes down to whether you want one of the best platformers around or one of the best adventure games around.
I only played Twilight Princess as the GC game it was originally intended to be.
Super Mario Galaxy is the better game in that it features extremely innovative and solid gameplay, but I found Twilight Princess a lot more enjoyable since Zelda is more of my thing, and I actually had the feeling I was part of the game, which is always a plus.
(imo) Super Mario Galaxy is way better, and you should get it way before twilight princess but it just depends which game you liked better out of Zelda (N64) and Super Mario 64 (N64) really (lol hopefully you had those two games on the N64).
just get super mario galaxy it is a very diffrent game than anything created it is also the best looking wii game and it looks better than alot of the xbox360 games i have.

Zelda hands down. As awesome and addictive as SMG is, it is also very repetative which isn't a bad thing in my opinion for this game. However, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is by far the greatest Zelda yet. The puzzles are great, the dungons are bigger than ever, and the story is also very good.
The real question is which to buy first, because you should definitely buy both at some point. Just decide whether you want a Platformer, or an Action Adventure game.
i would go with mario galaxy... im absolutely loving it at the mo.. i played it for 8hours today i love it.. cant get enough
zelda is fantastic though,, i only played it on gamecube though mainly cos im a zelda fanboy and i needed link to be left handed.. as in the wii version everything is switched around. and i mean everything
