They're just more fun? I think I had more fun on a E rated than a M rated game. Like Haziqonfire, I don't care what rating a game has. As long, it interests me.

It really depends on the game and not the game's rating. I personally hate the GTA games. I'd rather play things like Super Mario Galaxy or Brawl over that...

Why are M rated games more fun?

More fun because you're not old enough to buy them yet? You're telling me, that No More Heros(M rating) is more fun than Super Mario Galaxy(E rating)? And no, you cannot add there are exceptions, you did not state that in your original statement, so no adding it now.

not even gunna explain why
It's funny when Mature Rated games get so caught up in being M Rated. Ex.) Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
I felt like a moron playing this game... It was like watching a really bad action movie.

Does it surprise anyone that this user has a GTA avatar and agrees with the TC?
Saying that the Wii needs more M rated games isn't that crazy, folks.
It's true that the majority of Wii titles seem to be geared towards a very broad demographic (E for Everyone!). Personally, I'd love to see more M-rated software, too. I get a kick out of really violent games, which isn't to say I don't enjoy non-violent ones as well.
Conduit isn't gonna be M rated is it?
Anyways...
No More Heroes, Madworld, House of the Dead: Overkill, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, Resident Evil 4, Dead Rising: Chop Til' You Drop, all M rated. 3 of them are out, and are good games, and 3 are coming out in the future, and there are some more too. Oh yeah, Godfather, Scarface.

If the developers are smart, it will be rated T. They will sell more copies that way, and it is not a game that needs to be or should be rated M.

Unfortunately it isn't up to the developers. The ESRB assigns ratings based on a number of criteria.
Mature
Contains content that is considered unsuitable for teenagers and others under the age of 17. Titles in this category may contain intense violence such as blood and gore, sexual references and/or strong language.
Teen
Contains content that is considered unsuitable for children under 13 years of age. Titles in this category may contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, simulated gambling, and/or infrequent use of strong language.

I know that. I'm not stupid. But when developers make games they often shoot for a particular rating. They know what makes a game E, T, M, etc. They often control content to get a particular rating. If High Voltage is smart they will hold back a bit to get a T rating.

it is up to the devs they no the general rules and guidlines to the ESRB Rating and once they are done rating it they recive the rating and can choose to release it at that rating or change things so it can get a different rating. The final say isnt on them but they no what makes a teen game and a Mature game

An M game can have sex. It just doesn't show the actual sex, like the Grand Theft Auto games. Also you can have nudity in them like in Age of Conan. Only Porno games are rated AO which i'm surprised theres no anime pornos on the Wii considering the wii motion controls and all the anime fanboys that own Wiis :P

Think of the AO rating as the "kiss of death" for a game, just like the MPAA "NC-17" rating for films. Most retailers and media will refuse to sell or advertise AO-rated games. And of course, the console makers will not allow such games. Just look at the controversy surrounding Manhunt where the developer was forced to edit the game's content to garner the "M" rating.
I would like to say that I am quite indifferent to "M" or even "T" rated games as most of them do not appeal to my gaming tastes, which are more "family-friendly" and inoffensive. By the way, Super Mario Galaxy, an "E-rated" game got the Game of the Year on GameSpot by beating out all the "M-rated" games like Halo 3, Crysis, etc. Who ever said that "M-rated" games equal quality?

nudity does not equal porn. And no, other games that are NOT porn games get rated AO. San Andreas got rated AO on PC.
