i made a post a few weeks back saying i never played pokemon before. i guess i was busy doing other things. but i have been reading up on it and i might pick up either gold or silver when it comes out.
was just feeling a little weird being 33 and playing pokemon
I think the first handheld game I ever bought was Emerald. But I did play Silver/Gold back when they came out, and I downloaded Red/Blue and played them through an Emulator years ago. I had Yellow and Crystal given to me so I own those too, I also own Pearl and Platinum. I've also watched all of the Anime Episodes, well except the newer ones for Diamond/Pearl and own most of the movies. Plus I have Pokemon Colloseum and Gale of Darkness for the Gamecube and Battle Revolution for the Wii. I also have both Pokemon Stadium games for the N64. I even have a huge binder full of Pokemon Cards, plus a bunch of plushies and toys/figures.
I've been following Pokemon for years, since it came out pretty much. I'm a pretty big fan and will continue to be for years to come. Heart Gold and Soul Silver are going to be amazing remakes.

I thought I was going to be the oldest Pokemon player but you have a year on me (thirty two here). I started playing Pokemon Platinum with my son (seven). I watch the cartoon too. Team Rocket cracks me up. "Team Rocket, in your face!"
22, but didnt fancy the Platinum version much... havent played pokemon since silver before it. I kinda suspected most being in the 20s considering how the pokemon craze was in and around our primary school days.
I'll be turning 17 in 4 days and I've been playing Pokemon since the release of Red and Blue!
I remember when Pokemon cards were banned from my school [I was actually one of the kids at my school who caused them to do that xD;] I remember having to go behind the teachers back to trade cards during school I remember watching the first episode of Pokemon when it aired on TV. I remember those heated arguments I had with my friends in school over which Pokemon were better. I remember my brother tricking me into thinking that the Pokemon could hear me if I yelled at my Gameboy.
I'm 20. Pokemon Blue was my first handheld game back when it first came out (got a matching Blue Gameboy Pocket with it). I don't play Pokemon much anymore (havent played in almost 2 years) but I will be picking up SoulSilver in March.
Although Pokemon looks like a kids game, it actually has a bunch of strategy to it. It's not like other kid games where you can win just by using the most powerful moves or spaming anything. It requires proper training, thought, skill, etc to master.
I am 19 and I have been playing Pokemon games since Red/Blue and Yellow... I have never skiped a single game and I own them all until this moment... I can't believe that I still have them stored in a safe place :P There is only one thing I started to feel ashamed of... why do pokemon games start with a 10 years old kid to play as?! other questions about the Pokemon Show, is Ash still 10 years old since 1997? he seems so!
