Even though, Nintendo charges cheaper than other companies, $50 per game is still expensive. There are a lot of games which are interesting, but worth $50? No. drekula

Last time I checked new games were always typically $50, except for the ocasional big name game. The 360 and PS3 new games are even more expensive $60. Either you have just started gaming or your brain has no capacity to remember the normal prices of games.

I would also like to add that I bought some new SNES games back in the day for $70-$80. Be thankful they don't sell new games for that anymore.

Be gratefull you get games for that price. Over here in England wii games are around £40

and with two dollars to the pound you do the math :|

Morgario

Exactly lol, no American has the right to complain about the price of anything; petrol/gas, electronic goods, property etc. it's all much cheaper in the states. And worst of all... they still sell Lucky charms over there!!

Haha i absolutely love lucky charms :D

They stopepd sellign them in England becuase they were to bad for your health, SCREW THAT! I can still get them in my home town in a special import store at wait for this..... £12 a box :|

How many of you were around for the N64 era? Those games were 70 bucks a pop, and most of them had the same amount of content as the ones now. 50 dollars is fine in my opinion, especially considering that renting games is still an option.

Yeah, N64 games cost $70-80 and bargain bin prices were $40.

Going to the movies costs at least $10.00, and only gives you 2-3 hours of entertainment. Going out drinking (assuming you're old enough), you can spend $30.00 or more, and get 1 good night out of it. Going to a major league Baseball/Basketball/Hockey/Football game can cost $50.00 (at least $100.00 for good seats...and I'm not including food/drinks etc.), and you get a few hours of enjoyment. Video games cost $50.00, and, depending on the game, can give you anywhere between 30-80 hours of gameplay. Do the math, it's not a bad deal.

Stop complaining. Videogame companies spend millions on making a game, it wouldn't make sense to charge us less.

Thats how Ive always looked at it. And you get a new addition to your collection.

Metroid prime 3 is worth 50 bucks and i will gladly buy it for 50 bucks. Quality games are always worth the money. Metroid will definatly be a quality game. Do you see what im getting at? The fact that you think Mp3 won't be a quality game makes me wonder if you're a sony troll.

I agree that games cost to much. But thats why you only buy what you really want. As for me I tend to only buy first party games or games that really appeal to me. I usually wait for games that are just good and buy them when there $20. But if theres a game that you like say like guitar hero try to buy it the first day because its not like its going to go down in price anytime soon.same with Super smash brawl

The only game this year that I'll probably buy for $50 is super smash brothers brawl (even if it doesn't have online). Luckily, I recently had a b-day and i got legend of zelda: twilight princess (which is still $50) as a gift, but i've mostly been trying to buy games that i missed on the gamecube (Metriod prime $7.99, Super Smash Brothers $29.99, F-Zero $7.99, and star wars: rogue squadron 2 $9.99). The only wii game that I have bought is resident evil 4.

Damn what else is new? When have games ever been cheap? Want cheap games, you're stuck with the DS.
