Best first game for the switch?

Breath of the wild maybe or mario maker hmm. Which do you think is the best all around most worth it to own first? Could help some users picking up there switch lite and a game next month.

Zelda. Mario's well Mario. Zelda's something new and different.

Mario Odyssey. It's a masterpiece.

platformers - donkey kong/mario

shooters - splatoon

party games - mario party/1..2 switch

racing - mario kart

adventure - zelda

fighting game - samsh bros ultimate

hack n slash - bayonetta 1 or 2/fire emblem heroes/hyrule warriors

puzzle- cpt toad treasure tracker

I'm in a similar position looking at Mario odyssey and breath of the wild.

I bought the Switch for Splatoon 2, and stayed for Breath of The Wild.

You can’t go wrong with either. Get both eventually

It's not for everyone, but I think ARMS is a great showcase for what the Switch is all about. Goofy fun game you play with friends that makes good use of the joycons.

I'd straight up say Mario Odyssey. I haven't played BotW yet.

na arms doesn't do it for me man. I think I'm gonna do Fire EMblem 3 houses and next up BOTW. ARMS is not my style of game.

@ProtossRushX: Yeah, ARMS is a niche game, and $60 is steep for it. But I love these kinds of games :), and it does make good use of the joycons.

I'd say to play it safe for the first game. Either Botw, Odyssey, MK8, or Smash Ultimate.

Weeks ago I had the dreamer edition in my cart and was all ready to pay until I was called away. Upon returning I found those pre orders sold out. Bummer.

@ProtossRushX: Excellent choice. I have 300+ hours into BotW and only had that game for the first 3 months I had my Switch. I never got bored of it.

I fear it will come down to being in the right store at the right time since hopefully the Dreamer Edition might be in store though in small quantity. Right now my local Best Buy has special editions galore of older games. This one might be the elusive unicorn though.

I have Yoshi Crafted World and love it.

Gonna get an Oled as my first Nintendo, besides my GameBoy and I only got like 3 games no it anyway, but ye as my 1st game or like a top 3 or 5 shoot your suggestions guys.
