I'm guessing that Mario Galaxy will have a similar succes to Halo 3 worldwide. In terms of sales, wii sport sold better than Halo 3 but yeah... we all know why.
There will probably be games better and sell more, but you'll never know it because Halo might as well be called a religion. There are fanatics everywhere I go and it makes me want to shoot myself. Master Chief might as well be Jesus to some of them. Personally though, I'd much rather play Half-Life 2 or Metroid Prime 3, or any Mario or Zelda game than a Halo game.
