I think it looks good. But there’s the survival element & crafting involved which is very different. (Kind of reminds me of Lost in Blue.)

I guess they are taking a little bit of inspiration from Pocket Camp.

I hope shops and all of that still exist though. Maybe this game is more a matter of starting completely fresh and building your town up from nothing.

I was so excited when I saw the trailer, and then the delay announcement was like a kick in the teeth.

But I like the direction they're going. It looks like instead of moving into an established town, you'll be building your own from scratch.

@dzimm: Yep. :) I think it’s going to be a positive evolution.

IGN has more details. It sounds like we will have much control over how we shape our town:

“If the player chooses to stay in the tent, Tom Nook may say ‘Hey, actually, that guy likes living more of an outdoorsy, wild life,'” Kyogoku said. “So he may not see the necessity of adding new resident support services. But then if you do upgrade to a house, he may see a need for some sort of new facility.”

Nogami added that it’d probably be odd if the player lives more of an outdoorsy life and gave the example that if someone were to live in the mountains in a more humble shack, you can’t just suddenly build a convenience store right next door to his house. Tom Nook is paying attention to those sorts of things and makes sure he’s providing what the resident needs and will develop as he sees fit.

Can't wait to hear more. Totally okay with the delay if it means a better game down the road.

I cannot believe I somehow missed the trailer for ACNH. Thanks for the reminder, and now that I have seen the trailer I simply cannot wait.

I've only played Wild World on DS for one hour because I used to have OCD and I wanted to have a perfect town. So I kept deleting the world and creating a new one. But this game looks very promising.
