What was the last great single player campaign you played?

Dark Souls 3.

Oh and I was fairly surprised how good Limbo was. Felt like a modern day "Out of this World" type game to me. Kept my attention from start to finish...

Ummm....can't think of any others right now since many recent games I played are still works in progress. Currently playing Assassin's Creed and enjoying it so far. I got Tales of Berseria and Witcher 1 on the backburner for now...

Yeah, I'll be starting another play-through once I get my XB1 X and have the 4k update.

Probably worth mentioning since you can play it in single-player and is the bomb - Cuphead.

Sonic Mania is the best single player experience I've played in a while. Beautiful game, great animations, tons of speed. If you enjoyed 16 bit sonic or like platforming games in general I recommend this.

Still playing it though so can't speak for the entire game.

And now with the Fire Fades Edition newcomers can access some of the best content added to the game, The Ringed City alone is one of the best gaming experiences I've had this year.

call of duty modern warfare 2 campaign was epic due to it's amazing story line

Dark Souls 3, Doom (2016) and Bloodborne were all pretty stellar. Big fan of Resident Evil 7 until the last hour of the story too.

Played Star Wars KOTOR 2 with TSLRCM.one of the Best Games I've Ever Played.

Skyrim special edtition. I missed out on it back in the day. It better then any other game I've played this gen. I'm having more fun with Skyrim then I did with Zelda BOTW or Witcher 3.

I know this is cliche, but Portal 2. The lore, dialogue, humor, puzzle design, atmosphere, everything about that game just leaves you wishing that there was another 10 or 20 hours at least you can play through (which, yeah, there's a great co-op campaign, but for the purposes of this thread, I'm referring to another single player campaign). That game is a showcase of one of Valve's strongest characteristics: you can see an unparalleled level of intelligence in every tiny element of this game, but you NEVER once feel dumb, even if it takes you an hour to solve a single puzzle room.

I recently replayed Bioshock 2 and think it is absolutely amazing! I am currently playing through Assassin's Creed 3 (I stopped playing AC games after the second and only played Black Flag which was actually really good) and thus far its very good.

In terms of recent or current gen games, I am still working my way through TW3. The story is really, really dense and very intriguing, its just that the systems around it are a bit up and down and make for an inconsistent game play experience.

Oh and I don't know about everyone else but I really enjoyed Battlefield 1s campaign. I think its one of the best war stories told in recent gaming.
