The 4th (Genesis, SNES, etc.) and the 6th (Xbox, Gamecube, PS2) tie for me. The 4th generation was the prime of 2D, and the 6th generation is the generation I have the most games for and whatnot.

Where's the generation we're in right now?

marcogamer07

Currently it's the 7th.

BTW, the poll is missing the Magnavox Oddysey 2.

Dude, the poll is missing like 100 consoles. There's only 5 slots for a poll, and it's not about individual consoles anyways.

well most of these came out fairly soon after their DC release, usually a year or 2 at most. but of course alot of multi platform games released on the DC are going to be on the PS1/N64 , the system was out too early in the same way, games like Worms, Earthworm Jim 2 and Mortal Kombat 3 were released early on for the PS1/Saturn , and they all appeared on the MD/SNES.

6th Generation (Xobx Gamecube Ps2) I came of age in that generation. And I really blossomed as a gamer in that gen too.

Also some of my favorite games is in that Gen aswell.

I'll have to think hard about this...probably 5th-generation (Saturn, PS1, N64), which covers 1994 until about 1999-2001. From a console standpoint, the SNES is probably even more nostalgic than the N64, but I also have to factor the PC into this somehow-and most of the PC games I really became fond of were released in the same time period as the 5th-gen consoles. (And I'm also pretty fond of the N64 myself, and becoming fond of the Saturn now that I actually know what games to get for it.) But 4th-generation (Genesis/MD, SNES, Neo-Geo) is definitely in second place for me if 5th-gen is the first, with third being either 3rd-generation (NES, Master System/Mark III) or 6th-generation (Dreamcast/PS2/Xbox/GCN).
