I could be way off but it seems that MadWorld passed everyone else by. Which gives me the tears of sadness :(
Call of Cthulhu seems to have slipped under the radar as well.

Area 51 was one of my favorite games to play online. There were no dedicated servers and only about 50 people online at one time but infection mode was great. Also CustomRobo for the gamecube was really fun back then.

Machinarium
and
Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People
both superb games in their own, unique ways
Rayman 2: The Great Escape and Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc. Both of them are excellent platformers with a unique atmosphere.
Two of my favourite games of all time fit that category
1) Pikmin 2
-Miyamoto does it again
-should be regardedas having the same level of qualityas Mario and Zelda (miyamoto's most beloved contributions to gaming) and is just as unique as those games were when they first released (no small feat as it becomes increasingly difficult to be original)
-has at least 4 times the content of either of those two game series ever did
-Gamespot Score: 9.2
-Gamerankings average: 89.60%
2) Beyond Good and Evil
-Michel Ancel is an artist and this game shows it
-fantastic art direction and graphics coupled with a beautiful and heartwarming story
-Characters you ACTUALLY care about
-AUTHENTIC emtions
-Fantastic and varied gameplay elements. The use of photography is especially interesting
-The greatest Original Soundtrack ever created for a game. Props to Christophe Heral for that
-Gamespot's abnormally low score: 8.3
-Gamerankings average: 88.05%
A few great games I played that most have never tried are: Shadow of Destiny/Memories - One of Konami's most interesting games, I thought it was awesome. Point and click adventure games should've evolved into games like this. A game so much more better than Heavy Rain. Urban Chaos - One of the reasons GTA3 didn't wow me as much as others, was because I'd already played an excellent sandbox game known as Urban Chaos. Story was mediocre, and towards the end it got weird, but the gameplay was solid and fun! Plus all the extra side-quests were just hella fun too. You played as a cop too! It was awesome being able to handcuff criminals. One mission has you play as criminals, and you realise just how hard it is since the police can easily handcuff you. Awesome game. Nier - The only current gen game I can think of. Horrible GS review, and glad I wasn't swayed by it. Got the game, plenty of fun, I actually like the gameplay and it has a decent story and OST to boot. There are plenty worse games out there with better GS scores.Sphire
I remember both Shadow of Memories and Urban Chaos - fun times :) I've also just ordered NIER - this game has intrigued me from day one and now that it's cheap I'm more than eager to see what it's about.
Dark Sector... Who actually completed it?

Completed it, loved it. Double Decap Latte remains one of the most satisfying achievements I've ever unlocked :)
Tales of the Abyss, best game ever. My friends never even heard of the game until I bought it. It got generally favorable reviews, but most scores were in the high C range. Gamespot giving that game a 7.9/10 is ridiculous, they gave Tales of Legendia, a worse game, an 8.0, so couldn't they at least give Tales of the Abyss that extra .1 to match it?
Tales of the Abyss among the few games worthy of a 10/10.
Godhand it makes madworld look like a lame cousin twice as long difficult in all the right ways and very replayable

Fantastic game indeed, a must play for any beat 'em fan
The Sims Bustin' Out and Urbz Sims in the City for GBA not consoles. The GBA versions are my 2 favorite handheld games of all time and are in my top 5 overall.MUSH_IS_PWNsThis. Fine games, had a lot of fun with both of them and doing all the missions. The getting your popularity up was annoying as hell tho.
I was going to say Dark Sector as well. Definitely a great game not many played.Dark Sector... Who actually completed it?

[QUOTE="joesh89"]I was going to say Dark Sector as well. Definitely a great game not many played. I own Dark Sector, have had it for almost a year, but I can't bring myself to play it. I'm gonna try again today just because it was mentioned again as an underrated game.Dark Sector... Who actually completed it?

Jet Grind Radio & Jet Set Radio Future, two of my all-time favorite games. JSRF is the reason I got an Xbox in the first place. I really wish Sega would release another game in the series.
SonicX_89
Yea, that was a great game. Awesome soundtrack. Too bad Smilebit was disbanded after Orta, I doubt we'll see a sequel, but the original will probably be released on Live and PSN.

Here's hoping you enjoy Nier!
Came in the post this morning - but I'm at the office (on a Saturday too) so it's going to have to wait a little while.
I hadDark Sector for some time but i never finished it, good game.
NecroVision is good too.
Spyro series is good i finished every game from PS to PS2.
I avoided Dark Sector because it looked as if it completely ripped off Gears. Then I got bored and bought it, and realised my mistake of not playing a game as good as that. The Spyro series is great, but its hardly underated.I hadDark Sector for some time but i never finished it, good game.
