I posted a very long, logical, thought-out Lord of the Rings Online review that brought up some very prevalent flaws within the game, and gave it a "fair" score accordingly. But for some reason, there's people on gamespot that feel a 500+ word review that accurately addresses every aspect of a video game should be rejected rather than recommended just because they disagree with the poster's opinion of the game.
It's very disheartening to waste 30 minutes of your life giving your own thoughts about a game you've spent hundreds of hours playing, only to have that review downvoted by fanboys and buried under hundreds of overly positive reviews screaming "OMG OMG OMG OMG BYE DIS GAME!!111!oneone" with 20/20 recommended and 1500 page views.
Be more considerate of reviews you may not agree with. The reason for recommending/not recommending reviews on gamespot is to separate the giddy, immature reviews from intelligent and well-structured reviews, not to erase dissenting opinions. Thanks >.>
