However, we can't forget the epicness of this shoot 'em up cover:
I always laugh when I see this
God damn, I thought I was the only person here who even knew about that game. It was awesome, too.I think the boxart for the game Reactor on the Atari 2600 is a work of art:

I came into this thread with the sole intention of posting this cover.
A decade and a half later and I still don't get what the hell I'm looking at, but it's hilarious. There are game's that I consider timeless and even games I played last week for which I couldn't even tell you what was on the cover. As old as this game is, I've never forgotten the old geezer with the banjo with a spaceship in the background and I've never even played the game. That's got to be the best marketing ever.
I win.

Can you reveal anymore of your age? Jesus, Leo. Stop making us look bad. :P
You know whats so funny? Most of us bought that game just based on that cover. Wizards? CHECK! Warriors? CHECK! Swords? HELL YEAH! Warrior on the cover to emphasize the wizards, warriors and swords? OH YOU KNOW IT!
I think he means epic as in good not epic as in... well, epic :). Don't you know it's the current generation's buzz word? Everything good is apparently epic. Makes it hard to describe an epic movie or game as people respond with "but that was crap". lolHmm... Epic is a pretty strong work. I love the cover art for Mortal Kombat II and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, but I don't think they really have any qualities that would make me call them "epic."
I guess in terms of being Epic, I would go for Moonwalker.

Oh yeah, the question. For me it's a recent one, Heavy Rain. Interesting cover and more meaningful once you've played the game and learnt about all the characters. I especially love the haunted look in Ethan's eyes, the calculating look in Jayden's, the determined stance of Shelby and... well a nice bodied women in a singlet covered with rain water always helps a front cover. Love how it's done in B&W with only the origami figure in color.
For those that have completed the game Shelby has an ashamed/dissapointed yet determined look on his face. Awesome portrayal alongside the other characters
I loved this game and every time I look at the cover I'm taken back into that world.
I also wish that Heavy Rain just had one of the characters with a similar face and the origami in the same place. Wasn't the original cover supposed to be kind of like that?CalebCrawdad
There were a few covers. E.g.
The cover art that most reminds me of jsut how big this game was and how great the story was is the one I posted. In Aus I actually received the brown cover with the origami in the rain...boring if you ask me.
