I can imagine lots of people have played Majora's Mask for the N64. At the end, when you enter the moon, there is a tree. A lone tree and endless fields with mountains in the background. Does anyone know the significance of it or the legend behind it. I've played the game 3 times and still don't get why it's there. I'm probably overthinking it, but if you know the reasoning behind it, please post it here.

If you want to know why this isn't in the MM forum, it's because I don't think anybody still goes there.

I don't think it's of any deep significance. It's just there to make the place seem weird and to give the kids with the boss masks a hub to play around. It also gives the lonely Majora's Mask child a place to be somewhat alone.

Cool.

Has anyone ever tried to walk to the mountains?

They're just a background, there's nothing there. Remember, this is the N64 we're talking about. When you zone into the tree area just run backward and you'll hit an invisible wall within a few seconds.
